You heard me right: if you have clay soil rototilling is one of the worst things you can do. It breaks up the clay soil particles which makes them compact MORE! Here’s a great alternative: use a broad fork (or a pitch fork) to create air pockets without disrupting the soil microclimate!

‼️Fix Clay Soil… When we moved here the whole garden was heavy clay and there was nothing really growing here! Adding well rotted manure is a really easy way of adding organic matter to improve the structure of the soil. In this video I am using my hands to mix it up to show you but naturally as it rains, and as the worms take it down it’s breaks down in the same way leaving you with much better soil! Clay soil will loosen with organic matter. I'm not used to working with this type of soil so it's great to learn. compost is also good.
