Tag someone who needs this cheesey giant chicken parm at @adoro.restaurant This may be THE best new Italian restaurant in South Philadelphia! Adoro is a charming BYO located in Queen Village at 769 East Passyunk. From the minute you walk in the renovated space you can tell you were in for a real treat! ✨ The dining room was full on a sleepy summer Sunday - and lots of robust laughter and storytelling filled the air as we spied families, date nights and neighbors chattering away while eating Italian favorites over generous portions and big glasses of their own wine. 🏆 The chicken parm is a must, it in fact might be a contender for best chicken parm of the year. We tried to get the secret out of the staff but they weren’t budging. We fought for every last piece between us and the small amount I took home I ate the second I got there 😅 Oops. 🍝 The artichoke app with truffle oil was perfection, as was the fried mozzarella, the spaghetti and red sauce, the octopus and the desserts. Oh the desserts! ☕️ Pistachio cake is something I can never get enough of and the tiramisu stands up with the best of the red gravy joints that have peppered East Passyunk and the Italian Market for generations. Service was fantastic and everyone was so friendly and attentive. The inside space is stunning but they also have a gorgeous outdoor space with adorable bistro lights and lush greenery. Came to @griddlerice (after seeing it on @tabachance story) for the first time and all I gotta say is this place HITS. tons of flavor and bunch of different options on the menu. If you’re in Philadelphia, then this South Philly gem is a necessary place to visit. Highly recommend.
