How to choose colors for a limited palette. Here is an additional reel to answer some of the questions from my last reel that went viral! I tried to keep this as simple as possible, I hope it helps other painters out there. It's hard to condense something like this into 45 seconds. Yes you can use 2 colors, or more than 3, and the shape doesn't have to be a triangle. Experiment and see what you can come up with! Have fun. How to test a limited palette. Sometimes before jumping into a painting it can be helpful (and fun) to do a quick palette test to see what your color options are. Everyone has a slightly different way of creating these. You could use a hexagon shape, or triangle, or start with a different number of colors. It's up to you. At the end you can see an example of how I've used these to understand my color range before starting a painting. *** To purchase my recommended art supplies check the link in my bio. . . . #limitedpalette #painting #palette #arttutorial #arttips #art #acrylagouache #acrylicpainting #landscapepainting #colorwheel #colormixing #colourstudy #paintstudy #sketchbook #sketchbookpainting #dailypainting #dailypractice #artoftheday #artistsofinstagram #artistsoninstagram #holbeinacrylagouache #practice #vancouverislandartist #vancouverislandart #artstudy
