When was the last time you harvested the wool from a rabbit or sheep and made you own clothing items? For our TCA students, it was last Friday! We welcomed Catherine McLoed from On The Morrow Farm and Catie Sklenar that 2025 Sinking Valley Farm Show Queen along with our very own Mrs. Ray and her parents. Together they put on an incredible demonstration of the entire process. Mrs. Ray even brought her loom and everyone got a turn weaving a shawl! Thank you to all of our guests who made this day very educational and fun!

@CCE_Washingtoncounty recently wrapped up its Winter Textile Experience, where youth explored the journey from wool to wearable creations. With guidance from dedicated volunteers and caring adults, participants learned hands-on skills like carding, spinning, natural dyeing, sewing, and embroidering their own wool neck gaiters. 🐑🧶 Along the way, they built new friendships, shared homemade meals, and sparked plenty of creativity—showcasing how 4-H brings learning to life through hands-on experiences. 💚 #4HBeyondReady
