Dry-fit the plants first—thriller in the center, fillers around it, spillers at the rim. 3. Plant, firm the soil, water deeply until it drains, then set the pots in a sunny spot. Several years ago I planted bulbs and corms in these pots from @flowerpeople_co & @mamalanasflowers Then after they were done blooming in the spring I cut back the foliage and planted summer blooming perennials like dahlias, chrysanthemums and even a few zinnias right over the top of the bulbs and corms. Now every year the spring flowers come back and then the summer flowers start growing amidst the bulbs. It's the laziest kind of garden and I Love it. The only thing I have to do is to remember to water the pots about once a month in the winter and boom spring flowers return!
