Have you played a Jazzmaster before? I’m a big fan of this @fender Squire J Mascis Jazzmaster, the pickups are bit closer to P90s, combined with this lower tuning I think they sound great. Curious what some more traditional Jazzmaster pickups might sound like though 🤔

This is the rebuild I did last year of my then blue and gold 40th anniversary squire jazzmaster. It got a new bridge, tremolo, tuners, tusq nut, vintage knobs. It’s painted a custom British racing green that I mixed myself based on a jaguar color and then I switched out the gold pick guard for a black one. Pretty happy with how this one came out! Also I will get back to updating on pedals soon. I’m in deep working on my first original design - circuit, art and everything. My goal is to build the overdrive pedal that I’ve always wanted but doesn’t currently exist. I’m making the pcb now and will hopefully have a working prototype to play in a few weeks. #jazzmaster #squire #customguitar

Over three decades after its release, Siamese Dream remains a deeply relevant album that still inspires countless people and helps bring a bit of colour to the world. Ironically, when Billy Corgan was writing a few of the most famous songs of it he was deeply depressed and even considering drastic measures. This was the mindset he was in while writing Today, and is actually the reason he decided to explore that shift in dynamics between the clean and distorted sections of the song, lacing them with heavy irony and even a touch of humour. This may not have much to do with the Big Muff, or guitar tone, but it’s another part of an incredibly useful lesson that can be had from these stories: There is no *one* way to create. There is no *right* way to create. There is only that which we like and that which we do not. Everything else is just an attempt at rationalising the reason for one of these two options to be the truth. Scoop the mids, boost the low end, pan the kick drum, put gain pedals last in the chain, throw reverb on bass, do whatever *you* feel is right, and only look for a reason if *you* feel like finding one. #guitar #offsetguitars #jazzmaster #90smusic #smashingpumpkins
