Ride the rails on an historic train with Waterloo Central Railway. They have some very fun themed train rides coming up this fall. 2. Visit all the murals in the village of St Jacobs and take a few dozen selfies – there are a lot of murals! You can try to find them on your own or visit the village of St Jacobs website to find a full list of them. 3. Hop on a wagon tour with Elmira Wagon Tours for a one hour guided tour of the countryside and local Mennonite history. This tour leaves from the Mennonite Story log house at St Jacobs Market on Thursdays and Saturdays from May to the end of October. 4. Obviously, visit the St Jacobs market to stock up on local produce, sample foods from all the vendors, and hunt for fun market finds. Also visit the St Jacobs antique market across the road. 5. After all that eating, take a walk along the Health Valley Trail, which follows the meandering Conestoga River. We also talk about the Conestoga River on our walking tour and how it got its name! BONUS: of course, when visiting St Jacobs, you have to visit the unique shops and restaurants, and even a brewery! There you go! Now you have the makings of a perfect day trip to Saint Jacobs.
