3 Variations to improve Core Stability with one pice of equipment #athleticperformance #corestability #core #workout #athlete

Hey dancers, If you’ve been spending loads of time balancing on wobble boards or BOSU balls hoping to improve your balance, but you’re not seeing much progress… here’s why: 👉🏼Balance isn’t just about standing on something unstable — it’s about how well your body controls itself in dynamic, real-life movements. 👉🏼For dancers, balance needs to be strong, controlled, and active, especially when you’re moving through space, turning, or landing from jumps. 👉🏼Rather than relying on unstable tools that often don’t transfer well to actual dancing, prioritise exercises that challenge your stability while building real strength! 👉🏼These exercises train your balance in a much more dance-specific way, by forcing your body to stabilise through movement, not just stand still on a wobbly surface. #strengthandconditioning #balance #balancetraining #balanceexercise #onlineballetcoach #strengthtrainingfordancers #dancescience #dancecoaching #dancetips #dancetraining #balanceworkout #stabilitytraining

Hip stability during movement depends on the coordinated co-contraction of the deep and superficial hip muscles, lumbopelvic muscles, and trunk muscles (including the obliques and transversus abdominis), which together enhance joint stability, optimize load transfer, and improve force production and absorption. This coordination allows the your body to adapt to varying demands and compensate for weakness or delayed activation in any single muscle group. For example, if your hip abductors are weak or less responsive, your trunk and lumbopelvic muscles have to provide more support and compensatory strategies to maintain stability. The coordination of these muscle groups are necessary during functional activities such as single leg stance, landing, or lifting. Here are some exercises to target hip stability: - Single leg balance with overhead press - Side bridge with rotation - Skater squat 💪Want to work with Perfect Stride? 👇🏼 Why train stability? No matter if you’re a footballer player, tennis player or runner Every athlete should integrate stability training into their routine Training stability helps with: - Balance - Coordination - Injury prevention - Functional strength - Agility But most athletes get it wrong. Stability training is not just about trying to balance on one leg It involves exercises that improve an athlete’s ability to control their body position during dynamic movements You do this by doing: * strength exercises on one leg * strengthening your core * plyometrics/jump * targeting stabilizer muscles (hips, lower back & glutes) These should be your foundation for stability training no matter which sport you play. Balancing on a Bosu ball is a good additional tool for developing motor control and proprioception but it should not be your main focus. ___ #stability #stabilitytraining #athletetraining #athletes #forathletes #trainingtips #functionaltraining #sportperformance #gym #fitness #trainlikeanathlete
