BIKE INTERVALS make stationary cycling much more entertaining and useful, so here is a workout I use 🚲🚴♂️🚵♂️😊 Take 5 minutes to “build intensity,” as you crank your gear up little by little. PUSH seated for 1 minute, where the gear is high enough that it feels sticky and challenging to get through 60 whole seconds. Then REALLY crank the gear for 30 seconds ALL OUT, standing up like you’re climbing a massive hill. You should be nearly breathless by this point. Then recover up or down for 1 minute, and repeat for however long you plan to cycle for. I like using a 130 bpm playlist, but find the music that works to motivate you! On days I don’t run, cycling is a great way to build stamina but keep a low-impact approach to the endurance work. I hope this interval workout makes cycling even a little bit more fun and motivating next time you hop on! STATIONARY BIKE WARMUP 🧠⬆️⬆️ The stationary bike is a great way to warm up your lower body for your next leg day , or get the heart rate up for your next lift. This option is safe, effective and easy! Give it a try 📈 #onlinefitness #legday #gymtips #stationarybike #warmup #gymreels #fitnessmotivation #cardio #lowimpactmovement #nasmcpt #alphaland #alphalete #fitnessbenefits #healthylifestyle #onlinefitnesscoach #fitnessreels #bike #explore

Why you should STOP passing up the stationary bike at your gym and start spinning!🚴♀️ ✔️ Low impact that brings high results without stressing your joints ✔️ Turbocharged cardio that promotes a healthy heart ✔️ Engages your lower body muscles for killer legs and a toned backside ✔️ Customized intensity ✔️ More convenient and safer than road cycling Sounds good, right? Here’s the truth👇 If your goal is fat loss, the stationary bike can be a solid option, especially if you’re looking for low-impact cardio that still burns calories without pounding your joints. You’re pedaling nonstop, and if you push the resistance, your heart rate can stay elevated throughout. But here’s the catch… The calorie burn tends to be lower compared to incline walking unless you’re going all out. And unless you’re intentional with resistance and pace, it’s easy to coast which means fewer results over time. With incline walking, you can control speed, incline, and duration to fine-tune intensity and prevent plateaus. It also recruits more muscle groups… glutes, hamstrings and calves which boosts calorie burn even more. So which is better? It really depends on your goals, and more importantly, what you can stay consistent with. The best cardio isn’t just what burns the most. It’s what you’ll do day in, day out without dread or injury. Personally, I use both regularly 👌🏾 When I want to go all out, I hit the Peloton for high resistance, heavy sweat, no joint pain. But for steady fat loss I can stay consistent with, incline walking is still my go-to. Let me know which one you prefer and why in the comments 🤔 Want to compare for yourself? Indoor Cycling vs. Spinning® — same bike, different Ride🔥 ⠀ 🤍Indoor Cycling: Based on intervals & music-driven challenges. Can be cardio, HIIT, core work, or full-body moves on the bike. May include push-ups, light weights, or off-pattern movements. Handlebar often set higher for comfort & choreography. BPM >120. ⠀ 🖤Spinning®: Based on training zones. Simulates real cycling routes & terrains. Focuses on pedaling technique & safety — no added exercises. Handlebar usually level with or slightly above the saddle. BPM <115. Many people think that because we train on a stationary bike are both the same thing, but no...
