I’m a Tea Sommelier and welcome to my cold brew tea series where I make a new cold brew every week this summer. This is a strawberry basil cold brew tea. It’s made with fresh strawberries, lemon, and basil. I have a cold brew tea formula which is tea plus 1 fruit plus 1 citrus plus 1 herb. For this one, I’m using loose black tea, fresh sliced strawberries as my fruit, lemon as my citrus, and basil as my herb. Put everything into a container and add water. Make sure the tea is in contact with the water so it gets a proper steep. Place it in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours. I left this one for 24 hours. Strain out the solids and the tea is ready to drink. It’s chilled so adding ice is optional. It’s so refreshing on a hot summer day. Make it today!
