4 Lessons I’ve learned being 4 years into my career in structural engineering. 1. Study for the PE early (it’s not fun the farther out from school you get 😅) 2. Slow down and focus on your understanding (if your just reporting numbers, you will eventually look stupid in front of your boss when you cannot explain them) 3. Practice sketching (advice I got from a PM after he saw my work lmao) 4. Keep a journal (it’s useful and fun to log all the structural details and info that you learn!)
