A lot of travelers think the Swiss Travel Pass is the ONLY way to get around Switzerland… but that’s NOT true! ❌ There are other options like the Swiss Half Fare Card, point-to-point tickets, and regional passes, which might actually save you more money! 💰 Before you buy, make sure you’re choosing the right pass for your trip! ✅ #switzerland #swisstravelpass #train #travel

🚨 Here’s how you can experience the famous Glacier Express in Switzerland on a BUDGET. Who are you taking with you?? ❄️ The Glacier Express is EXPENSIVE with standard tickets costing upwards of £150 one way with an additional mandatory seat reservation for the eight hour journey 👀 BUT regional trains operate on the same tracks - meaning you can experience a shorter slice of the Glacier Express including the views in this video for as little as €19 per person when getting them in advance. All you need to do is search for tickets from Visp to Zermatt. These trains are much quieter, you’re free to roam around the train and guaranteed a huge window seat. It’s hard to put into words how amazing this train was but hopefully the videos do it justice!!

We boarded what they call one of the most Instagrammable train rides in Switzerland — and honestly, the camera can’t even do it justice. The Brienz Rothorn Bahn took us high above the lake, through wildflower-covered hills and into the clouds. But the best part? Experiencing it all with family, with no rush, just joy and a whole lot of ‘wow’ moments. . 📍Brienz Rothorn Bahn . 📸 Captured by me, enhanced by my iphone📱 . . . #brienzrothornbahn #cograilway #lakebrienz #clouds #rothorn #planalp #instaworthy #instatravel #instavacation #luxury #luxurytravel #luxuryvacation #familytravel #travelwithkid

Do you want me to plan your next trip..link in bio 🫶 @glacierexpress.ch is the most scenic train route in the World that runs from Zermatt (Switzerland) to St. Moritz, 7-8hrs of journey passing through the Swiss Alps. If you have a Eurail Pass or a Swiss travel pass, you can use it to travel on the Glacier Express for almost free that generally cost 272 ChF (1st class) & 159 chf (2nd class) but there are some things to keep in mind: 🌲Seat Reservaion & Meals:- Please note, While your Eurail/Swiss Pass covers the train fare, you’ll still need to make a reservation for the Glacier Express. You can do this at a Swiss train station or online through the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) website. I got it done from @kkrtrvlworld For Seat reservation + meals will cost you around 98 chf So in total👉🏻272 + 98 chf = 370 CHF (around 36,000 INR ) & with Swiss/euril pass, only 98chf in total. I used my @eurail pass for this ride & Here’s a step-by-step guide to using your Eurail Pass on the Glacier Express: 1. *Check the schedule*: Look up the Glacier Express schedule on the SBB website or at a Swiss train station. 2. *Make a reservation*: Book your seat reservation online or at a train station. You’ll need to provide your Eurail Pass number and pay the supplement fee (if required). 3. *Validate your Eurail Pass*: Before boarding the train, make sure your Eurail Pass is validated for the day of travel. 4. *Enjoy the ride*: Sit back, relax, and take in the breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps! Remember to always check the latest information and schedules before your trip, as they may be subject to change. Happy travels! Tip: It’s important to note that paying for your reservation is not the same thing as purchasing a ticket. You must make a reservation for your desired class of travel, pay the seat reservation fee and purchase your route ticket. . DON’T MAKE THIS MISTAKE WHEN GETTING THE TRAIN FROM ZÜRICH TO INTERLAKEN 🙅🏼♀️🇨🇭👇🏻 When travelling by train from Zurich to Interlaken, the usual route would be the direct train via Bern which is the quickest option, however, there is a much better, much more scenic, and even cheaper option. 📍This is the Interlaken Express!🚝 When travelling from Zürich, you’ll first want to get either the IR70 or IR75 train to Lucerne. From here you can then change to the PE train to Interlaken, also known as the ‘Luzern-Interlaken Express’. This is one of the top 5 scenic trains of Switzerland, and will take you through gorgeous mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and countryside, as well as passing through some lovely little villages. The tickets are also cheaper on this route than the direct train so it’s a no brainer! If you’re going to be exploring a few places across Switzerland, a great way to save even more money is to get one of the Swiss Travel Passes. We had the 6 day ‘Flex’ pass which meant we could travel on 6 days within a month across all Swiss transport (bus, train, some ferries & gondolas etc.), but they also lots of other alternatives depending on your travel plans. The pass also gives you a great discount on activities such as Jungfraujoch, Schiltorn and museums.
