@traceyspicer shares her special IWD message with us at @womenlovetech #iwd #womenlovetech #iwd2026

What if confidence didn’t start in your mindset… but in your alignment? That’s the question behind the talk I just submitted to Grace Hopper Celebration 2026. The session combines research from: • embodied cognition • leadership psychology • shame and vulnerability research to help women and non-binary technologists strengthen leadership visibility without compromising authenticity. At the center is a framework built on four Image Needs: Alignment Authority Safety Expression If selected, the goal is simple: Help brilliant technologists stop second-guessing their presence and start leading with grounded power. If this resonates with you, I would be grateful for your vote. 👉 Link in my bio Thank you for helping bring this conversation to Grace Hopper. #womenintech #latinasintech #technology #gracehoppercelebration

We’re living in a time where building technology and supporting people are inseparable. And the most meaningful conversations in tech aren’t about tools or trends, they’re about HOW we build and WHO we build with. To lead this discussion, we’re excited to announce the speakers for our Fireside Chat. We are bringing together Danielle Shown and Serilda Summers McGee! They represent two essential and deeply connected sides of the tech ecosystem. Danielle Shown brings more than 25 years of experience in semiconductors and advanced manufacturing. As General Manager of Silicon at Microsoft, she has led highly technical teams, shipped complex products, and navigated large-scale organizational change. Her perspective is grounded in what it truly takes to build and scale technology—especially as AI reshapes roles, workflows, and the future of work. Serilda Summers McGee brings the lens of critical people. As CEO of Workplace Change and former Chief Human Resources Officer for the City of Portland, she has spent years guiding organizations through workforce evolution, leadership development, and organizational design. Her work centers on how workers adapt, how leaders support teams, build resilience, and create systems where people can thrive during disruption. This conversation matters because it bridges products and people. Danielle leads how technology is built. Serilda leads how people are supported while that building happens. As companies and employees across the Silicon Forest ask themselves: How do we adapt? How do we stay agile during rapid change? This dialogue speaks directly to that moment. With this year’s theme, Agility in a Time of Change, bringing these two leaders together offers a grounded, holistic view of what agility actually looks like at a real inflection point in our industry. Two leaders. Two perspectives. One shared future.

🙌🏾Hi friends! I’m excited to share that I’ve submitted a proposal to speak at the Grace Hopper Celebration this year. My session is called “Product Thinking Is a Leadership Discipline — Not Just a Tech Skill.” Here’s the idea: A lot of us are handed big visions — “move to the cloud,” “launch AI responsibly,” “modernize the enterprise” — but we’re not given a structured way to translate that ambition into execution. And the people stuck in the middle? That’s usually us. Technologists who are leading cross-functional initiatives, navigating governance, balancing capacity, and trying to make strategy a success. My talk argues that product thinking isn’t just for product managers. It’s a leadership approach. Here is were I need your help⤵️ Community voting opens March 5, and I would truly appreciate your support. When the link goes live, I’ll post it — and if this topic resonates with you, I’d be grateful for your upvote. Thanks for being part of my journey. 💛

Identity, Change, and Beyond Titles Leadership isn’t defined by a designation. It’s shaped by the ability to evolve, question, and build with intention. We had the incredible pleasure of speaking with Kate Bradley Chernis, who shared her perspective on redefining identity beyond job titles and navigating change with clarity and conviction. The insights feel especially relevant as we spotlight stories of growth, empowerment, and impact this Women's Day. More thoughtful moments from this discussion are coming your way. Yesterday, Margaret Totten, Board Member of Scotland Women in Technology, had the pleasure of joining Chloe Jansen, Vidhya (Vithagaselvi) Krishnamoorthy and Marnie McCormack on the panel for “Mastering Emerging Tech to Thrive Through Constant Change”, hosted by Barclays. It was a privilege to be part of such an inspiring panel of women, with expert moderation from Emma Patching, who facilitated an honest, thoughtful and practical discussion. What stood out most was the tone of the conversation. No hype, no buzzwords, just a grounded discussion about what it truly takes to navigate constant technological change within financial services. Key reflections from the session included: * You can’t learn everything. Prioritisation is a critical leadership skill if meaningful change is to be achieved. * Sometimes the most empathetic leadership approach is to push through necessary change to strengthen an organisation. * Critical thinking and open dialogue remain the most powerful tools as businesses embrace the next wave of emerging technology. The audience engagement, insightful questions and vibrant networking afterwards reinforced why events like this matter. Technology will continue to evolve. The real differentiator will be how organisations and leaders adapt with curiosity, confidence and clarity. Thank you to Nicola Heron and Amelia Sommer for the invitation, and to Priya Kujur for capturing the event so beautifully. #WomenInTech #Leadership #EmergingTechnology #AI #FinancialServices FinTech

These aren’t spectators. They’re change leaders asking real questions in real time. That’s what happens at the Change Leadership Conference. This is not a room where you sit quietly. It’s a room where you ask the leaders who’ve done it and are still doing it exactly how they led change. An experience where you: ➡️ Engage directly with leaders who have led complex transformation ➡️ Ask the hard questions about execution, resistance, and real-world complexity ➡️ Connect with peers navigating similar pressures ➡️ Leave with insights you can apply immediately From AI adoption to resilience under pressure, the conversations are live, candid, and practical. No theory. No posturing. Real exchange. 📅 May 27, 2026 📍 In person in Toronto or virtually Secure your place: Link in bio @thechangeleadership

Communication seems simple… but it’s not. Explaining ideas clearly, listening well, and connecting with people? That’s a skill. And a vitally important one in today’s information era. In the latest episode of Making Strides, President Cathy Bruce and Dr. Christopher Cwynar talk about why communication remains one of the most sought-after skills employers are looking for. 🎥 Watch the full episode now at the link in bio. 💬 Drop a comment: what’s the hardest part of communicating well? 💬 Do you think you’re a good communicator? 💬 What makes someone a great communicator?

This week’s Friday Thoughts are about my reflections on new technology - and how, when we stay curious rather than fearful, it can open beautiful new doors. I’ve just started a new SEED Garden on WhatsApp, creating a fresh space for SEED Sisters to connect, share ideas and support one another in real time. It feels like sowing seeds in new soil. And I have to say …working with AI has surprised me. It can be creative, supportive and incredibly useful - not something to be afraid of, but something to explore with intention and wisdom. The tools maybe new but the values remain the same. Connection, community and collective growth. Here’s to embracing what’s emerging - together. Join my SEED Garden, linked below and in my bio, to connect like-minded women at the roots 🌱 #LynneFranks #FridayThoughts #Community #Whatsapp #FemaleConnection

AI isn’t here to replace creativity—it’s here to amplify it. In this clip from Power & Impact, Jo McKinney and I talk about how the real opportunity with AI is learning how to work with it, not against it. The future belongs to those who can blend technology with human insight, imagination, and empathy. The tools may change, but the value of creative people only grows. #PowerAndImpact #ArtificialIntelligence #Creativity #Innovation #Leadership #FutureOfWork #HumanCentered #DigitalTransformation #JimMcCann #UseYourPower
