This week was about visibility, leadership, and community involvement. I became a member of Women Breaking Ground, an organization supporting women in development and real estate who are actively building and expanding access in this space. I re-engaged with NAREB, I’m pursuing committee involvement and being part of conversations around Black homeownership, capital, revitalization, and what that really looks like in Dallas. I’ve been in rooms where the focus isn’t transactions. It’s ownership. Education. Exposure. Access. Community impact. In this chapter, it’s about service. Giving time. Building systems that outlast us. Expanding access to ownership. Creating inclusion. Sharing information. Providing education. As we expand our development projects and grow as a business, the goal isn’t just production. It’s about creating pathways, sharing information, and helping more people step into ownership. Growth means collaboration. Learning from other operators. Building alongside other businesses instead of trying to do everything alone. I don’t just want to be in the room.
