The Greenhouse SHORT. Ok so we aren’t completely finished yet but we couldn’t keep you waiting to see the finished floor! LONG. It’s a beaut! Yes it was tough laying it in the heat of the greenhouse but you smile every time we walk in there. We thought we would show it you at this stage as the table needs to go in and the hanging lights and all the other decorative bits! Once that is all in you won’t appreciate the work that went into putting this floor down 😂. Greenhouse 2023 SHORT. Say hello to our beautiful greenhouse which we LOVE but this years crop wasn’t the best… LONG. The produce was a bit of a disaster this year, and we will share with you what we have learnt from it: 1. We never had the greenhouse finished until almost July so most of our stuff was growing in the house for 4 months, it didn’t like the change and grew very slowly when moved. 2. Other things grew amazingly but we just didn’t have a moment where everything looked perfect which is basically a normal garden, things grow at different speeds 3. Our idea on the multiple pots looks great but realistically they don’t work well for a lot of produce as they become pot bound and moisture levels can fluctuate much easier. On the other hand the salad troughs were a huge success and the chillis have loved it in here. What we have learnt with each gardening year is take what works for your garden and what doesn’t and use that knowledge for the next year.
