🚨 Just a reminder that if you’re not horrified by what is happening in our country, then you’re not paying enough attention. I’m not saying you shouldn’t go about your daily lives, we have to try to do that but we also have to recognize that so many of our citizens, our neighbors, our friends are not able to do that because of the terror and mayhem being wreaked upon our society. . Let me translate what Trump just said in plain English: “I might be watching a whole civilization collapse tonight, but hey—maybe something wonderful comes out of it. Who knows! Stay tuned.” Sir. This isn’t a season finale of a reality show. These are actual human beings. Families. History. Culture. Lives that don’t exist for your late-night play-by-play narration. And the part where he casually floats “Complete and Total Regime Change” like he’s swapping out a bad kitchen appliance? If any other leader—even one of our allies—said that publicly about another country, the U.S. would be issuing statements, sanctions, and strongly worded everything by sunrise. We’d be calling it reckless. Dangerous. Destabilizing. Because it is. But here, it gets packaged as boldness. Strength. “Telling it like it is.” No—this is what it looks like when someone treats global conflict like content. And let’s talk about the whiplash: “A whole civilization will die tonight… but God bless the people.” You don’t get to narrate potential destruction like it’s entertainment and then slap a “God Bless” on it like a closing hashtag. That’s not leadership. That’s theater with a body count. And if we’re being honest? The most terrifying part isn’t even the post. It’s how quickly people have normalized this level of rhetoric—as if this is just another Tuesday and not the kind of language that, from anyone else, would have us all on edge.
