how to perform my 4 fav glute growth exercises 🌟🍑 1. Hip thrusts- feet too close = quads, feet too far = hams, & make sure you’re locking out fully at the top of the rep! otherwise you might as well not be hip thrusting (for glute growth at least 😗) 2. Goodmornings- the common complaint for these is “back pain” & there are 2 causes for back pain 1. You’re pushing your hips past their natural stopping point (bending over instead of hinging) 2. You are just lifting too heavy! this is a humbling exercise. You really need to build up the weight again! 3. Bulgarians- let your chest follow your body’s natural movement for glute focus & make sure your first movement is to hinge back into the hips! 4. Paused cable kickbacks- honestly, the girls that get it, get it- adding the pause is THE game changer. Once I started doing them they never left my routine 🔐. Make sure to keep your core tight & back neutral (zero arching! I do 2 full legdays at the moment and 2 upper body days + hip thrust in the end of my session. I do this for 4 weeks, then I have a break where I don’t include hip thrust on upper body days. For me personally, it’s been very effective for progressive overload in hip thrust. Not saying that this is for everyone, but if you’ve been lifting for several years like me, it can definitely be worth trying if you hit a strength plateau 🫶🏽 And no, obviously your muscles won’t break down from adding ONE single glute exercise extra twice a week. Hip thrusting 95lb more than bodyweight YES. YOU. CAN. We should choose our lifting weight based on our body weight, the more we weigh, the more weight we can lift!
