I recently went to Tiny Township, which is a rural community in north Simcoe County. I had never heard about it before, but I found it really cute and decided to take a look around. That’s when we found out Bluewater Beach. 🤗 The area is full of natural beauty with a boardwalk, dunes and beach. Bluewater Beach in Southern Georgian Bay is definitely a must-see stop in this scenic small town. It is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. 😍 In the late 1990s, the dunes were neglected as a dumping ground, and root systems and vegetation were destroyed. An increase in pedestrian and motorized vehicle traffic added to the overall deterioration of the dunes. Fortunately, residents and the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation joined forces with the Township to restore the area. 🙏 The efforts of so many people and organizations to save the dunes and the beach from devastation have resulted in the return of the wetlands and wildlife. And I’m so glad I found it and got to know its history. 🥰 I’ve already put it on my road trip list for the summer next year.
