You didn't suddenly become incompetent. You were deliberately undermined. One toxic boss can make a brilliant professional question everything. Every decision. Every email. Every word. And you've been blaming yourself. Here's what's actually happening: You haven't lost your skills. You've lost a safe environment. They've systematically chipped away at your confidence, and now you're stuck in a loop of self-doubt. I see this constantly with senior professionals who've let one person rewrite their entire self-perception. The good news? Your confidence isn't gone. It's just buried. And rebuilding it doesn't take years - it takes the right framework. So if you a framework that actually works, comment READY below and I'll send you instant access to my e-course. #toxicworkplace #growthmindset #empowerment

Crappy leaders create a crappy work environment, and it’s bad for those who deal with the fallout. According to a new study by The Workforce Institute at UKG, 69% of people said their managers had the greatest impact on their mental health. 71% say stress at work negatively impinges on their home life, 64% say it detracts from their wellbeing, and 62% say it degrades their relationships. On the flip side, when people report a positive work environment, 63% say they are committed to their work, and 80% say they’re energized. Leaders need to wake up to this reality and focus more on people. Productivity and profits will improve when leaders improve on caring for people.

It takes 12-18 months for a toxic boss to break you. I know because it happened to me. And after nearly 10 years of coaching women, I’ve watched this pattern play out so many times it’s predictable. MONTHS 1-6: You think you can handle it. Your boss says things that don’t sit right, but you rationalize it. You’ve dealt with difficult people before. Then the microaggressions start. Feedback that’s really criticism dressed as coaching. “You’re not coachable.” “You’re too sensitive.” “You need to be more of a team player.” Translation: Fall in line. Stop questioning me. MONTHS 6-12: Work you once loved becomes something you endure. You’re exhausted. Frustrated. But you keep pushing because you’re good at this. MONTHS 12-18: You hit your breaking point. Your confidence takes a hit. You question everything. Imposter syndrome creeps in. Here’s the worst part: You don’t want to quit what you do. You’re great at it. The work still matters. You just can’t do it in THAT environment anymore. What you really want is to keep doing work you’re brilliant at—but on your terms. With autonomy. Choosing your projects, your hours, the people you work with. That’s completely possible when you build it for yourself. You don’t have to let a toxic boss break you. You can take all that expertise and create something where YOU call the shots. Comment READY and I’ll send you my free training on turning your corporate expertise into a business that gives you freedom, income, and impact. #ToxicBoss #CorporateBurnout #LeaveCorporate #ToxicWorkplace #herbigleap

Toxic workplaces are not fixed by harder work, better attitudes, or increased loyalty. In many organizations, dysfunction is structural, rewarding poor leadership, protecting politics, and normalizing burnout. This video breaks down why you can’t repair a toxic work culture from the bottom up and how staying too long can slowly shift your standards and self-worth. If you’re dealing with workplace toxicity, burnout, or leadership dysfunction, this is the clarity you need to decide whether to outlast it strategically or walk away with intention. #lyndasays

Stop letting a biased boss define your worth. 💼🚫🛡️ Ever noticed how the person who does the most work always gets scolded the most? 🤡 It’s a classic toxic workplace trap: ❌ Bosses find faults in the tireless workers. ✅ They find ”brilliance“ in the bootlickers. For those of us with no background, fairness is often a fairy tale. 🎭 If your hard work only yields low evaluations and more stress, stop giving it away so cheaply. Your energy is your most precious resource—don’t waste it on people who are blind to your value. Saving your light for yourself isn‘t being lazy; it’s being sober. 🕯️🛡️ Tag a ”workhorse“ friend who needs to stop draining themselves. 👇 Share this to your Story if you‘re reclaiming your energy today. 💪✨ #TheSimpleTruth #ToxicWorkplace #WorkplaceRealities #KnowYourWorth #CareerMindset
