Hot tub, private yoga offerings, incredible views (go check out our last post for a fun thing about this place 🎉) EAT: • We love finding incredible Hawaiian food along our travels, especially with Ash being Hawaiian 🌺 and we were SO excited to visit @thericewagon a true, authentic gem of classic Hawaiian dishes with a personalized touch! The loco moco and ahi tuna are a must 🙌 • There are some fun coffee spots here and a couple of our favorites are @cardinalcoffee_nantahala and @bryson.bakery ☕️ Cardinal Coffee is an amazing, pet-friendly coffee shop with an extensive drink menu, a free library, and cute handmade things you can take home! Bryson Bakery is right in downtown BC and had incredible pastries and drinks and is connected to MRKT on Square for some fun local shopping too!! 🥐 DO: • Head over to @greatsmokynps and visit The Road To Nowhere 🌉 this is a bizarre stop, but so unique and the echo in this tunnel leading to nowhere is out of this world! Not going to lie, it was a tiny bit spooky at first, but fear not…there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and it’s a neat experience. • An hour from Bryson City is a show-stopper @biltmoreestate 🏰 this is such a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. Pittsboro, NC: One of North Carolina’s most quirky small towns! These are just a few places to add to your itinerary for a day trip: 🏠 Clyde Jones’ Haw River Critter Crossing This unique “art gallery” is thanks to resident Clyde Jones, who has dedicated his later years to creating wooden animals. Each critter has its own fun personality, so feel free to hop out of the car to admire them up close and notice hints of them in neighboring yards! 🌉 Old Bynum Bridge Constructed between 1922 and 1923, this pedestrian-only bridge has evolved into a “free expression” bridge and serves as a canvas for colorful murals and graffiti. 🌊 Haw River Access Part of one of the most beautiful river hikes in NC, this access point is right by Bynum Bridge. It is a part of the Lower Haw River Trail, which stretches 8 miles! 🍔 S & T’s Soda Shoppe Located in @downtownpittsboro this diner serves burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and shakes in a retro, old-timey setting!

Hike Deep Creek (part of @greatsmokynps) and see 3 waterfalls within 1 mile of each other. Pack a picnic lunch and do dinner at Bryson City Brewery (kid and dog friendly) 🐶 Day 2 Visit Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) to enjoy the breathtaking river, have lunch at one of the two great restaurants on premise and do an afternoon short hike on the Appalachian Trail (access is just past the parking lot). End the afternoon at Tsali (8ish miles from NOC) for mountain biking, horse back riding or feel free to walk this for hours spot! On your way, make sure to grab coffee or warm cider at @cardinalcoffee_nantahala ☕️ Day 3 Spend the morning exploring Lake Fontana (one of the most beautiful lakes ever) and checkout Fontana Dam.
