Finishing the drawing with subtle shadows and details using a very hard 9H pencil ✏️ I’ve noticed that many beginners make the mistake of starting with hard pencils first and then trying to add darkness with softer ones. For me, it works much better the other way around. I always begin with PanPastel and the softest pencils, so I can slowly build up the depth depending on how much pressure I use and how much I blend with a stump.
