UNDER UNDER is used to show direct position, contact, control, or condition. It tells us that something is directly beneath or affected by something else. Examples: The cat is under the table. → UNDER shows direct position. The cat is directly beneath the table. He stood under the umbrella. → UNDER shows covering/protection. The umbrella is above him. She works under a senior manager. → UNDER shows control or authority. The manager supervises her. The bridge is under construction. → UNDER shows a condition or ongoing state. He is under pressure. → UNDER shows a mental or physical condition, not a place. BELOW BELOW, on the other hand, is used to show lower level, rank, measurement, or standard and is mainly about comparison, not direct contact. Examples: She is below him in rank. → BELOW shows lower position or status. The room below is vacant. → BELOW shows a lower floor or level, not touching. Anyone below 18 is not allowed. → BELOW shows a limit or age comparison. The temperature is below normal today. → BELOW shows comparison with a usual level. This job role is below my qualification. → BELOW shows status or standard comparison. His performance was below expectations. → BELOW shows failure to meet a required standard. One line memory trick If there is control or condition → UNDER. If it is only comparison or level → BELOW. Under vs Below Sebenarnya sama aja, tapi kalau bingung utamakan pake under. Contoh: You can stay under my umbrella. Below bisa digunakan ketika objectnya sangat besar Contoh: The sun sets below the horizon. Dan juga pakai below saat bicara tentang level, ketinggian, ranking, atau temperatur. Contoh: Your IQ is below average. #bahasainggris #english #learnenglish

Stop Confusing Under, Below & Beneath! Learn the Correct Use 😲 #english #learnenglish #viralvideo

What’s the difference between the prepositions “under” and “below” in English? These two words have very similar meanings and are even interchangeable in some situations, but in today’s video, I give you several rules and situations that will help you to use them correctly. Keep in mind that both of these prepositions mean “at a lower position than something else”, but we typically use “under” for objects that are covered by something else, or when there is movement happening at a lower position than something. “Below”, however, is just used when something is at a lower position than something else. Also, “under” is a synonym of “less than” that we use to talk about age and time, while “below” is typically used when talking about temperature. These prepositions have other uses as well, but there’s no way I’d be able to explain all of them in a 90-second video! Practice using these prepositions correctly by writing sentences with them in the comments below, and don’t forget to give this video a ❤️ and follow if you found it helpful! 😊 . . . . . #english #learnenglish #languagelearning #englishteacher #englishtutor #englishonline #englishgrammar #teacher #easyenglish #englishlesson #englishlessonsonline #englishclasses #aprenderingles #ingles #apprendreanglais #anglais #practiceenglish #speakenglish #englishteachersofinstagram #englishlearning #naturalenglish #englishgramamrtips #whatsthedifference #englishfluency #englishforadults #esl #studyenglish #englishtips #onlineenglishlessons

🦎 Geckos are incredibly fast decision makers, capable of reversing direction and launching off a surface in under 20 milliseconds, which is faster than the human eye can register. Their feet use microscopic hair-like structures called setae that create a van der Waals adhesive force, meaning they can grip almost any surface instantly upon landing, including, apparently, a stranger’s foot. The gecko did not want to be a hat. He wanted to make a new friend. She was not interested. (aintdathollabackalyssa Via Collab) #funny #animals
