What followed was a Sunday flea market, €1,000, one small kazan, thirty days in the cold at a Christmas market, a first restaurant, a partner dispute, a food truck ordered from Poland that never arrived, a small, cramped imbiss, a former laundromat in Schöneberg, and eight months of building permits. He built the space by hand. Him, his chef and his team. They haven’t been here long. It doesn’t show. Next, I talked to the chef who cooked for the Uzbek embassy before he ended up behind this kazan.
