Saw skincare gurus do this trend, so here I am explaining my USMLE study strategy in the SIMPLEST WAY POSSIBLE ! Yes. This is it. With resources I feel less is more, especially if your basics are strong. So, if you’re confused and have a feeling of FOMO with all the information is out there on the internet and all the resources everyone else is using (been there done that), I hope this video gives you confidence to trust your own preparation ✨ Also should I do more content like this ? 1 minute USMLE Tips, Information and Updates 💯

ULTIMATE hacks for the USMLE Step 1 👀🙌🏼 1. buy your triad ASAP! for me buying the triad and securing my date is literally what kicked my a$$ into high gear 😭 i studied more in 2 months than i did in 2 years 😅 2. figure out how YOU study best!! i realized i studied the best using active recall & writing notes so when i was revising NBMEs i literally wrote down EVERYTHING🙏🏼 i ended up filling 2 new notebooks with stuff i wanted to revise. 3. make your own notes for revision. do not rely on FA (except for rapid review) for revision bc it’s super hard to find the info you need to revise between blocks ✍️ instead write your own HY notes and go through those in between every block. 4. tailor your revision notes for your weaknesses! if you know a HY topic very well, emphasize another one you don’t know as well 🙌🏼 5. only tell A FEW PEOPLE!! the most important tip, keep your circle SMALL, trust me the pressure of people knowing is another level complexity to your prep 😭 6. stop doubting yourself. trust yourself to know when to give the exam and for God’s sake, do NOT forward the exam unless you have a VERY VALID reason bc if you do it once then you’ll keep doing it😵 lmk if these tips help and follow for more USMLE & medschool hacks 👀 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - #pakistanimedstudent #studentblogger #medstudentblog #usmletips #usmle #usmlestudy #medschooltips #doctorblogger

I passed USMLE Step 1 in 8 weeks of dedicated study time. Here’s exactly what I did — and what I’d do again 👇 ✅ ONE full pass of UWorld 120 questions daily First 4 weeks: untimed, tutor mode, organized by subject Last 4 weeks: timed, no tutor mode, mixed topics blocks ✅ Pathoma for pathology Watch the videos and follow along with the book. I also used this alongside my classes before dedicated, so I had already gone through most of it. ✅ Sketchy for Micro + Pharm This was the only visual mnemonic method that actually stuck for me — even years later. I can still recall some videos (and I am many years out from the last time I’ve seen them). ✅ (Almost) daily Anki I used pre-made decks, but wish I had made my own cards for UW incorrects. Missed a day here and there, but stayed consistent, though the amount of cards was overwhelming to keep up with. ✅ Took every NBME + UWorld practice exam 1–2 per week in dedicated prep, always under real test conditions. I’d review them thoroughly the day of (and some of it the day after) 📅 I focused on practice, feedback, and retention Looking back, I’ve learned that I made many mistakes in my prep. As a USMLE tutor, I learned how to refine my study methods — and I share all my updated strategies in my Step 1 Strategies eBook. 🎁 The first chapter is FREE! It includes an 8-week study schedule and a full breakdown of how to create an effective study schedule. 📩 Sign up for my newsletter to get it! (I send it out weekly every Monday). What resources I used to successfully PASS usmle step 1: 1–As a baseline you need to choose one video (or text) lectures resource + one Qbank + first aid, these will be your main resources I personally used Boards and Beyond @boardsbeyond + Med School Bootcamp @medschoolbootcamp (for physiology and areas I was weak at) + Uworld as a Qbank @uworldmedical , complemented both by first aid. @firstaidteam 2-Pathoma: first 3 chapters is a must! 3-Sketchy: for all microbiology and some pharmacology subjects. 4-Amboss qbanks for ethics @amboss_med 5-Mehlman PDFs during dedicated (I studied almost all of the PDFs) 6-Dirty Medicine channel on youtube for biochemistry. 7-Randy Neil channel on YouTube for biostatistics. 8-Self assessments: NBMEs self assessment (25-31) Uworld self assessment (2,3) Bootcamp self assessment (an underrated self assessment!), Free 120 (2021, 2024 versions)

Hello 👋 So you guys know how I am preparing for USMLE step 1 and I plan to take the exam soon. 😱 The resources I am using are: 1. First Aid @firstaidteam 2. Pathoma Notes (I watched all lectures during second year of MBBS) 3. UWorld (MOST IMPORTANT) 4. USMLE Strike Lectures by @drapurva_popat 5. Retention Mastery Course (additional resource to master Anki) by @steps.to.steth So my prep was very bland and not active because I was just watching videos and reading FA and then @drapurva_popat @steps.to.steth and my best friend who recently passed step 1 basically helped me correct my learning methods and their #1 advice was to start uworld early. So I started uworld alongside videos and even though I scored terribly initially, uworld helped me strengthen concepts I didn’t even know I had trouble with. @uworldmedical provides comprehensive content coverage, familiarizes us with the exam’s question style, identifies weak areas, reinforces learning objectives, improves time management skills, and enhances long-term retention. Utilizing UWorld as an integral part of an early study plan has significantly boosted my preparation, setting a strong conceptual foundation. Initially with low scores on uworld I used to get really demotivated and for a bit I refrained from solving questions thinking I need to revise everything before I solve questions. This is where I wasted really important time. Using @uworldmedical as a learning tool and NOT an assessment tool is extremely important. Because even when you’re getting questions right you need to know if you got it right for the right reasons or was it guess work or you came to that answer with a totally wrong conceptual foundation. So avoid this 🚩 and start uworld early!!!
