⭐️Because I had such a strong base from my previous Step exams, I only spent about 1.5 months total studying for Step 3. ✨For the first month I did 20 UWorld questions per day while on an outpatient rotation. For the 2 weeks leading up to Date 1, I did about 80 Uworld questions per day, and completed the 2 Uworld practice tests. ✨I completed the Biostatistic review in UWorld, and made sure to complete all of the Biostatistics questions before test day! ✨I had 4 days between day 1 and day 2, and over that long weekend I crammed as many CCS cases as I could. I ended up doing about 50-60 CCS Cases during this time, which got me comfortable with the format and software. ✨If you’ve watched my prior videos, you might be surprised about how little I studied for the Step 3 exam. Since I’m already matched into a Dermatology residency, and much busier as an intern than I was as a medical student, my goal was simply to PASS step 3, and my studying reflected that. ✨If you haven’t yet matched into your desired specialty and are hoping to maximize your Step 3 score as much as possible, I would recommend trying to complete all of UWorld, plus the NBME practice exams, and completing all of the CCS cases to maximize your chances of scoring well! . . . #step3 #usmle #resident #doctor #medschool #medstudent #premed

A lot of the advice I saw online were from those who went straight through medical school into residency/Step 3 - study tips for people like me didn’t seem to be represented well. 2 months before Step 3, I felt like I had forgotten everything I knew from Step 2 which, honestly, was probably not far from the truth 😅 so I knew I needed to study more than the average person for Step 3! Here’s how I studied for Step 3 (and how I SHOULD’VE studied) as someone with minimal IM involvement who took a 3.5 years since Step 2! Hoping this can give some direction to any fellow nontraditional test-takers out there 🙂 #usmle #residency #medstudent

After walking out of Day 1 of Step 3, I was convinced I had failed. I kept asking myself: “Why didn’t I just wait to take this exam later like everyone else?” I only got through 30% of UWorld. I took one practice test. And honestly, that’s far less preparation than I’d ever feel comfortable with during med school. On top of that, life threw some unexpected challenges my way leading up to my exam — and my priorities had to shift to things much more important than boards. That’s why the relief I felt opening this score report was unlike anything since Match Day. The weight lifted off my shoulders was unreal. And honestly, I’ve never been prouder to do slightly better than average given the circumstances with which I prepared for this exam. Sometimes “average” is a badge of honor when you know what it took to get there. I’m beyond grateful for this outcome, and I want to pass on some hope to anyone studying for Step 3 while also carrying the weight of life outside medicine: ✅ You don’t have to be “perfectly prepared.” ✅ Life doesn’t stop for exams — and that’s okay. ✅ You’re stronger than you think. Tonight, I’ll sleep lighter. Tomorrow at 6:30 AM, I’ll be back in the hospital, helping others with their own battles. And that perspective is everything. ❤️ 💬 For those who’ve taken Step 3 already — what’s the one tip you’d give to someone still preparing? #Step3 #USMLE #ResidentLife #DoctorLife #MatchDayFeels #ResidencyJourney #MedStudentToDoctor #StepExam #PhysicianLife #medstudent #residentphysician #residentdoctor

If you’re aiming to PASS USMLE Step 1 in 2026 - this is the FULL BLUEPRINT I used as an IMG ✅ As promised, here’s the full Step 1 blueprint that went viral 👇 The order matters: 🧠 Pathoma (especially Chapters 1–3) 🦠 Sketchy Micro / Pharm ❓ Start UWorld early 📄 Mehlman PDFs to patch weak areas 🧪 Dirty Medicine for biochem 📊 NBMEs at the end You’ll notice I’ve intentionally not mentioned First Aid. That’s on purpose. In a pass/fail exam, First Aid is too dense and inefficient as a primary review resource. It worked in the past — that doesn’t mean it’s still the best answer now. For NBMEs: do them online, timed, exam conditions. If you’re consistently scoring ~70%+ on multiple forms, you’re in a strong position. Finish with the Free 120 a few days before the exam. Fewer resources. Used properly. Repeated consistently. That’s how you pass Step 1 efficiently and move on to Step 2 sooner 🚀 Hit me with any questions in the comments 👇

The most AWAITED transition: from heartbreak to hope. 🤍 For every IMG/USMD/ANYBODY who opened their Step 1 result this Wednesday and saw “Fail” , this one’s for you. She got her fail in August 2024. Saw skincare gurus do this trend, so here I am explaining my USMLE study strategy in the SIMPLEST WAY POSSIBLE ! Yes. This is it. With resources I feel less is more, especially if your basics are strong. So, if you’re confused and have a feeling of FOMO with all the information is out there on the internet and all the resources everyone else is using (been there done that), I hope this video gives you confidence to trust your own preparation ✨ Also should I do more content like this ? 1 minute USMLE Tips, Information and Updates 💯

If you’re just starting your USMLE Step 1 prep, here’s your guide: 1️⃣ BnB • Try to finish it as early as possible. • Don’t obsess over understanding everything in one go. It’s for building base + brushing up. ⸻ 2️⃣ First Aid / Mehlman PDFs • Read unit-wise. First Aid is great for structure. But if you need concepts explained from the basics → Mehlman PDFs are gold. They help you build stronger conceptual clarity. ⸻ 3️⃣ UWorld (Start Early!) My biggest mistake? Not starting UWorld early. • It feels overwhelming at first, that’s normal. • Start first 10–15% in tutor mode, system-wise. • Review very carefully. And remember: Quality > Quantity 20 well-reviewed MCQs = 20 new concepts learned. Don’t chase numbers. Chase understanding. ⸻ Hope this helps 🤍 Save this for later. Struggling with CCS cases in Step 3? You’re probably missing this. Comment “NEURO” below 👇 Most people lose points in CCS not because they don’t know medicine… But because they don’t know the SYSTEM. Neuro & Psych cases = easy marks if you follow the right approach. ABCs first. Rule out organic causes. Don’t miss consults. That’s it. Read that again. This is where rank jumps happen. Save this before your CCS prep. Send this to someone preparing for Step 3.
