You didn’t. Because those children were taken away. Isolated. Silenced. Abused. Neglected. Now, autistic kids like my son are seen, heard, supported, and loved. They get to play. To thrive. To be part of the world—exactly as they are. Today, we fight for inclusion. We let our kids be kids. We advocate, we adapt, we support—and we celebrate them. While we have come a long way, we still have a long way to go. Whether you’re left, right, center, or floating somewhere in between—this is about humanity. A shared responsibility to show up, speak up, and do better. Autism isn’t a trend. It’s a reality.
