Here's to facing life's challenges head-on and finding beauty in every moment. What is IVIG? Intravenous Immunoglobulin is a therapy treatment for patients with antibody deficiencies. It is prepared from a pool of immunoglobulins (antibodies) from the plasma of thousands of healthy donors. Immunoglobulins are made by the immune system of healthy people for the purpose of fighting infections. Why do I get this infusion? I have an Autoimmune disease which is a form of Vasculitis called "Wegeners Granulomatosis." It causes inflammation to the blood vessels in my body. I have a very weak immune system so IVIG is very helpful!
