AI will replace software engineers… is the biggest lie you’ve been manipulated into believing. There’s so much more that goes into being a software engineer. System design, engineering solutions for user needs, building scalable products, etc etc. But, using AI tools like Emergent to HELP you build products faster is a must do. I highly recommend you check it out with the link in my bio 💪 #coding #ai #computerscience #programming #softwareengineer #emergent #emergentai

being a software engineer in 2026: waking up to 5 new AI tools that already replaced me I love tech, but the speed of this industry sometimes makes me feel like I’m always behind like I’m never enough 😖 Especially now, I feel so tired because I’m juggling work, social media, and learning French… ahh and going to the gym to stay sane , and don’t forget about personal life Gosh… I need 10 openclaw agents to help me run my life at this pace I simply don’t have time to follow all the news or try everything out and because of that I feel behind Do you feel the same or am I just insane? . . . . . #softwaredeveloper #softwareengineer #aithoughts #programmers #coding

Everyone believes AI will destroy software jobs. But real-world data suggests something very different — and it could change how you think about Indian IT services. A recent research paper introducing the Remote Labor Index (RLI) tested frontier AI models on 240 real paid freelance projects sourced from platforms like Upwork. These were not coding puzzles or benchmark exams, but actual client work across architecture, 3D design, dashboards, multimedia production, and more. The result: the best AI model achieved only about a 2.5% automation rate. In roughly 97% of cases, AI could not produce work acceptable to a paying client. The researchers state that “current AI agents perform near the floor” on economically valuable end-to-end projects. They also introduced “autoflation,” measuring real cost reduction from AI completing these projects — currently only a few percentage points. This matters because the current narrative assumes AI will quickly automate coding and hurt companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro. But AI today is good at generating pieces of work — not managing full workflows. And IT services firms primarily handle integration, migration, infrastructure, compliance, and long-term enterprise complexity. We’ve seen this before. Cloud computing was supposed to reduce IT services, yet it created a decade-long integration boom. AI adoption may follow a similar path. PwC surveys also indicate that many CEOs are not yet seeing meaningful financial returns from AI investments — suggesting experimentation is high, but large-scale cost savings are limited. The market may be pricing disruption. But it may be underpricing adaptation. Sources: Remote Labor Index (Center for AI Safety & Scale AI), PwC CEO Survey on AI returns. Not investment advice. Just a framework to think beyond headlines about AI automation and the future of Indian IT.

AI is making engineers insanely fast… but speed without understanding is a trap. You can generate code. You can ship features. You can even build systems. But if you can't explain what you built… did you really build it? The real advantage isn't using AI. It's thinking with it. The engineers who win won't be the fastest typers— they'll be the ones who actually understand. So be honest— are you improving your skills or outsourcing your thinking? 👇 Drop your take in the comments #softwaredeveloper #engineer #ai #coding #software

“AI will replace software engineers” 🫠 #computerscience #developer #techlife #programmer #coding

I started my career as a Software Engineer at Microsoft, working on a PaaS product on Azure. Solid engineering work, but I always knew I wanted to move closer to AI. When I transitioned into working on an AI-agent based product in Copilot Studio, it wasn’t overnight or accidental. I went back to the basics! Revised Python and ML fundamentals… then steadily built depth in GenAI: prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, vector stores, and hands-on integrations with different LLMs. I explored agent frameworks like LangChain and Semantic Kernel, and experimented with SmolAgents, CrewAI, and Bot Framework to understand different agent architectures and patterns. Alongside this, I built small real-world projects like chatbots, retrieval systems, and automations… to see how these systems actually behave beyond demos. I also focused on production-ready thinking: logging, monitoring, prompt versioning, and Responsible AI, because agents don’t live in notebooks… they run in real systems. What made the transition effective wasn’t starting from scratch, but mapping my SWE experience to AI impact… using agents to automate workflows, improve search, reduce manual effort, and scale decision-making. This isn’t a story about cracking interviews or having a PhD in AI. It’s about being consistent, practical, and curious while already being a software engineer. I’ve put together a 6-month AI Engineer roadmap that you can follow (for both students and working professionals) Comment “AI” and I’ll share the complete roadmap with you 📩 [ AI Engineer, AI Engineer Roadmap, Software developer, Software Engineer, Engineering, Microsoft, Story of my life, Career advice, Mentoring, Career guidance ] #AI #Roadmap #Microsoft #SoftwareEngineer #Corporate
