Train like an athlete and get athletic results⚠️‼️ Explosiveness✅ Strength ✅ Muscular endurance✅ DM for 1:1 Coaching ⚡️ #gym #trainlikeanathlete #muscle #athlete #gymlife

Everyone is so focused on training the concentric side of the equation, but most of the magic happens on the eccentric side. I heard it first from @triphasic_training The fastest athletes are the ones that can relax (eccentrically contract) the quickest. Read that again. The best athletes can lengthen tissue quicker than average athletes. Most strength training trains the body to lengthen slowly. Is there benefit to that? ABSOLUTELY. Is that the best option? Maybe not. Once an athlete has a pretty solid base of strength (preferably through strength training AND long duration ISOs), they probably need to practice more fast reactive work. Catching a falling load is one of the best ways to create a quick spike in force through the tissue. It’s the most similar training method to what an athlete experiences in real life on the field. Quick, intense exposure to force that can be repeated to accumulate a lot of volume is one of the best ways to accumulate tissue capacity for injury prevention and performance. This audio clip is from one of my all time favorite podcasts with @wannagetfast on the World’s Tallest Podcast. So many nuggets in that episode! If you are an athlete and not currently incorporating some of these concepts in your training, you’re missing out.

What’s Old Becomes New I encourage everyone to study the history of strength and conditioning (or just sports performance whatever you wanna call it) because you start to see things that become popular that have already been done years ago These are all advanced ways to train for power/speed/explosiveness but are missing a lot from traditional programs today Success leaves clues, you just need to know where to look If you’re looking for a program tailored towards this style of training, comment the word “book” and I’ll send you the link for purchase Hitman Out🫡

Athletes DO NOT mistake off-season work in-season. During the season in any sport we want to maintain everything we build off-season. Then when off-season comes again we keep on building 📈📈📈 #athleticperformance #sportstraining #functionalfitness #athlete #sportsperformance

comment “GUIDE” to get the free blueprints on this methodology There’s a moment when you watch someone move and it forces you to rethink what you thought was possible. When movement is that clean, that precise, and that neurologically efficient, your brain hesitates for a second. That pause isn’t confusion. It’s your nervous system trying to process a new standard. That’s what happens when people watch Bronson Burns Smith run. It isn’t just speed or talent. It’s timing, alignment, and sequencing working together without interference. This is exactly what Marv Marinovich was trying to engineer. He believed elite athleticism came from neuromuscular control, reflexive co-contraction, and postural integrity, not brute force or max effort lifting. His methods trained the body to eliminate compensation, absorb force elastically, and stay structurally efficient under speed and chaos. While Bronson may have developed these qualities naturally, they aren’t genetic magic. They’re trainable. Every athlete has these systems built in, but most never learn how to stimulate them correctly. Once you do, the body starts organizing itself differently, and movement stops feeling forced and starts feeling inevitable. #sportsperformance #martialarts #strengthandconditioning #athletictraining #combatathlete

You can plank, crunch, and do sit-ups all day… but that won’t make you athletic. Real power comes from rotation — the ability to transfer force through your hips, spine, and feet while staying balanced and connected. If you play sports, lift weights, throw, sprint, skate, or just want to move like a human again… you need rotational strength on your feet. This is where speed, power, and real-world strength come from. Start training movement, not just muscles. Your body will thank you. #CavemanStrong #RotationTraining #AthleticMovement #FunctionalStrength #StrengthTraining #MobilityTraining #CoreStrength #RotationalPower #MoveWell #FitOver40 #AthleteMindset #HumanMovement #CornwallFitness #TrainLikeAnAthlete

At a certain point, something interesting happens. An advanced athlete’s training starts to resemble a beginner’s again. Not because they’ve regressed, but because they’ve achieved sports mastery. They know what works. They know how they respond. And they understand that as neuromuscular outputs rise, the cost per rep rises with them. Which means even “basic” drills place a much higher demand on the system. This is why less becomes more. Simple doesn’t mean easy. And basic doesn’t mean low value. Intensity is a skill. Execution is a skill. Coordination is a skill. You don’t improve those by constantly rotating drills. You improve them by repeating them, refining them and letting the nervous system master them. That’s we live on - accels, max v and Resisted sprinting - Basic jumping, broad jumps, bounding - General strength work HOW TO WORK WITH ME Speed Kills For athletes and coaches who want real sprint development, acceleration, max velocity, resisted sprints, plyos, and strength integrated into a clear system. No gimmicks. No fluff. Just speed, explained and applied. Strength × Speed For people who want to build muscle, get stronger, and safely layer in speed, jumps, and explosive work without needing an advanced sprint program. Training the brain & the body 🧠⚡️ In this drill, the athlete needs to react to many different words, each requires him to do a different move. (Jump, move, how to land on the box…) It’s all about reaction speed, acceleration, cognitive processing, body control, Plyo, and staying low & explosive. This kind of work sharpens not just your feet, but your focus too. #ReactionTraining #SpeedAndAgility #CognitiveDrills #athletedevelopment
