HB67 - GROWING VIRGINIA'S OFFSHORE WIND WORKFORCE - PASSES THE HOUSE 85-12 HB67 is a workforce bill that received bipartisan support last year, but was ultimately vetoed. The bill instructs the Department of Energy to ensure Virginia's workforce is prepared for the offshore wind industry through a specialized training system. This bill demonstrates my commitment to ensuring that the Commonwealth of Virginia continues to lead the way in offshore wind and workforce development.

Today, I’m on the ground in Nova Scotia with @gregor.robertson, Housing and Infrastructure Minister, and @jessicafancymp, MP for South Shore—St. Margarets, to announce $350 million in federal funding to unlock a wind farm near Liverpool that will generate enough clean, reliable, Canadian electricity to power over 50,000 homes. I also announced funding to support the next big step on Wind West and the Atlantic Energy Strategy, which we referred to the Major Projects Office this fall.
