Wool is one of nature's most amazing inventions. It's antimicrobial, water resistant, flame retardant, insulating, antistatic, and biodegradable. It manages to be both simple and complex in its structure and usefulness. Working with wool has brought me immense joy and creative byproducts, and I don't even make my own yarn...yet! 🧶 And while hair sheep (those that naturally shed and don't require shearing) are the most popular flock choice in our area, I'll take a wooly breed every time! There's just something about using your hands to create something useful from your sheep's fleece that's grounding and beautiful.
