Meme history: The “My longest yeah boy ever” meme comes from a viral clip of someone enthusiastically screaming “yeah boy” and stretching it out longer and louder than you’d expect. The way the voice builds from a normal cheer into a hilariously drawn-out yell turned it into a meme because it perfectly captures that over-the-top hype energy we all feel sometimes. People online took the audio and paired it with other clips of hype moments, big reactions, or situations where someone is just really hyped about something. What makes this meme special is how relatable it is: we’ve all had moments where a simple cheer just grows into an exaggerated reaction, and the original clip turned that feeling into a universally funny soundbite. Creators remixed it, looped it, and dropped the audio under random footage to make it even more absurd and entertaining. Over time, “My longest yeah boy ever” became a go-to reaction meme for big wins, wild reactions, or anything that deserves an extra-long cheer. It lives on because it turns simple excitement into something laughably dramatic — the internet’s way of saying hype but louder and unfiltered. #greatmemereset

The origins of the ‘Yeet’ meme, 2014. Found even more footage, the original video file, & an update on the creators of the legendary meme. No cap I feel Anderson Cooper right now. After posting rare angles of the meme last month, I was eventually contacted by the one who filmed the original videos, @JasNiecol! She gave us an update on @SolitaryJawn, the person featured dancing in the video, after we were previously duped by a fake ‘Lil Meatball.’ Our initial post about the meme, featuring additional footage that many hilariously called ‘the director’s cut,’ went viral earning around 6 million views in 5 weeks. This led to literally over 100 requests for an update on the people in the video, which we are proud to finally provide.
