Today is International Dance Day, and we’re celebrating by highlighting the youth dance classes at our Bellefonte YMCA! Our fun and creative program blends ballet, contemporary, and jazz to help kids build coordination, confidence, and self-expression, all while having a great time. We got a first look at the brand new YMCA coming to Schaumbur and it already feels like home! From the tour of the 1st Phase gettin ready to open to the groundbreaking for Phase 2 right next door, it was so special seeing familiar Y faces again. As a former member who taught my kids learn to swim at the old location, this one hits a little deeper. 🥹 The new space at Prairie Towne Center (Barrington & Schaumburg Rd) is bringing it ALL: 🏀 Multipurpose courts ⚽ Indoor turf field 🏌️ Golf simulators 🏃‍♀️ Indoor track + fitness center 💪 Group classes + wellness spaces 🏊 Aquatics center for lessons, lap swim & more Phase 1 opens in June, with Phase 2 coming in October and we are counting down the days.
