5 sign you seriously need a rest day⬇️ ( training through these can hurt, not help) 1️⃣Soreness that won’t go away Still sore 3+ days after a workout?? That’s not growth that’s your body screaming for recovery ✅No rest= no muscle growth + higher injury risk. 2️⃣You’re getting weaker in the gym Struggling to hit your usual numbers? If basic lifts feel heavier than usual ,it’s not your strength it’s your nervous system begging for a break ✅Fatigue affects more than just your muscles 3️⃣Your sleep & Mood are off Restless nights?feeling down, snappy or unmotivated?? ✅Overtraining spike cortisol, wreaks your sleep and drain your drive. 4️⃣Elevated resting heart rate If your heart rate is unusually high in the morning your system is stressed out ✅Pro tip: many elite athletes track this daily to avoid burnout 5️⃣You’ve lost appetite and motivation ✅Not hungry post workout?dreading the gym?? That’s not laziness that’s your body running on fumes. ☑️Quick check: If 2 or more of these hit at once take a full rest day or do light recovery:walk ,stretch,or do mobility work. #fit #fatlosstips #fatlossjourney #fitspo #fitspo #fitness #cardio #restday #walking #walk #gym #gymmotivation #weightloss #weightlossjourney #fitnation #info #tips #foryou #fyp #explore

ACTIVE RECOVERY 🧘🏽♀️🧠 Sometimes the most disciplined thing you can do is slow down on purpose. We aren’t meant to live in constant striving. (And if I’m being honest, this is a lesson God constantly has to teach me and one I help my clients apply too.) Allow this to be your reminder as we step into a new week: recovery isn’t a break from progress, it’s part of it. Some days recovery looks like movement. Some days it’s quiet time. And some days it’s doing nothing at all. Recovery: • allows your body to restore • gives your mind space to reset • creates room for clarity and gratitude • prepares you for what you’re being called to carry next #activerecovery #activerestday #faithandfitness #faithbased #mobility

REST REST REST 💤 It is so so underrated and it needs to be praised about more !! I’ve never gone a week without having at least one rest day, but even if I had more than 2 rest days I definitely used to feel guilty. The past year when I reduced my workouts to 3 a week, I was having more rest days than workout days, and that’s when I actually made the most progress (in terms of muscle building) I’ve ever made. Resting your body may sound counterproductive. “if you’re resting, you’re not burning calories so you’re ruining your progress”. That’s what I used to tell myself. THAT IS SO FAR FROM THE TRUTH. 1. Calories burnt does not solely define the progress you make 2. You most CERTAINLY still burn calories, even more so, outside of your workouts (even when sleeping) 3. Think of it like this, workouts prep the bod, rest is where the magic actually happens. It’s essential for muscle repair and growth. 4. Rest is vital for your nervous system, and your mental health. If you don’t rest, you’re in a constant state of stress which can do a lot more harm than good 5. Rest helps regulate your hormones, including your hunger/appetite hormones. Do you ever find when you’re tired, you’re more hungry/craving more and never feel satisfied? I really could go on and on, and if you ask a professional, they’ll be able to tell you even moreeee detail on why rest is so vital. So please prioritise it💪🏼 My rest days consist of a leisurely walk, admin work, seeing some friends, maybe some baking, whatever I fancy🤌🏼I also take @myvitaminsuk ‘Relax’ and 5HTP before I hit the pillow. My code AMELIA gets you lots of money off so make use of that if you want ✨ my link is in my bio

Active Rest Day Every day doesn’t need to be a full, intense workout Some days, your body just needs movement… not more stress An active rest day is exactly that No heavy lifting, no pushing to failure Just getting in, moving your body, and staying consistent Think: Light cardio Mobility work Core/abs Low intensity movement This helps with recovery, keeps your routine in place, and allows you to come back stronger for your next training day Not every day needs to be hard But every day can still be intentional Do you take active rest days?
