Tonight we were invited to @northern_stage to see something a little different from our norm. Tonight was a performance of @balletlorent #RapunzelAfterDark - Described as a no holds barred staging of the classic fairy tale, closer in spirit to the Brothers Grimms’ original story, which was never intended for children.  Featuring depictions of sex and partial nudity, the show touches on adult themes including childlessness, miscarriage, grief, obsession and child abuse, with strong gothic folk horror undertones. This was a truly beautiful, exquisite, dark performance that was a pleasure to watch. The dance was beautiful, smooth and a joy to witness. The staging was fab, the sound and lighting get top marks for creating atmosphere and mood. Disturbing new footage has surfaced showing #LorentJuniorPion, 29, violently attacking his girlfriend, #NahomiCittadini, months before she was found dead along I-95 in Miami-Dade County. The video, recorded in August 2024, captures Pion beating and throwing Cittadini to the ground, yet in a heartbreaking twist, she is also seen defending him despite the abuse. Four months later, Cittadini, 22, was found dead naked near an interstate ramp. Initially, Pion told police she had been run over by a car, but investigators later uncovered surveillance footage allegedly showing him beating her and dragging her into traffic. Authorities say he then walked away, leaving her on the road. Now, after months of investigation, Pion has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
