The latest DIY project, a couch console wired with a power point 💪⚡️🔌🛋 2x Pine planks (3000x144x22) - one plank is for the top length of your couch, the other is cut down into 3 legs the height of your couch. Remember to measure your couch length, but add the width of your legs if the console is going over your couch, plus about 20mm on each end for some clearance. 8x Metal 90-degree brackets (I use size 80x80x2.5) - you need 2 brackets per leg and 2 brackets to attach to the wall. 2x Flat corner bracket (75x75) - for the back 2 corners for extra support. 1x Flat T bracket (75x75) - for the back leg for extra support. 36x Wood screws - remember that they can not be longer than the width of your wood. 1x Plug point of your choice and a 4x4 wall box to encase the electrics, with cabtyre core cable (2.5) and appropriate plug point. Obviously this depends on where you live and what specs are required to be compliant. 4x Hooks to string the cable. Wood stain of your choice. When it comes to equipment, you will need a circular saw if you do not get your wood cut at a hardware store. You'll need an electric drill and wood bits to drill pilot holes in the wood and a masonry bit if you are drilling into concrete to secure the console. You'll also need basics like a measuring tape, pencil, paint brush/rag etc.
