Good composition helps food videos feel more balanced, intentional, and visually appealing. In most of my food reels, I use the same core camera angles: • 45° angle - the most versatile one. It works well for both filming the process and showing the final dish in a flattering way. • Front / slightly behind angle - great for action shots like mixing, adding ingredients, or plating. Having hands in the frame makes the video feel more dynamic and natural. • Top-down (bird’s-eye view) - perfect for flat dishes like pancakes, toasts, pizza, or pastries. It highlights shape, symmetry, and textures. You don’t need a complicated setup or tons of angles.
