⚠️ FOUR TIPS FOR USING OUTDOOR FLASH ⚠️ 1️⃣: Understand Lighting - Lighting is one of the key fundamentals of photography. If you don’t understand how you should light your subject with the unpredictable lighting situation that shooting outdoors brings, you can get overwhelmed. 2️⃣: Understand The Limits Of Your Equipment: I will forever recommend shooting with a 600 watt strobe light. While a bit on the expensive side, with a 600 watt strobe, there will never be a time of day where your light will not overpower the sunlight. 3️⃣: Backlighting: Unlike shooting natural light, you do not want your subject facing the sunlight when shooting with a strobe. Don’t add unnecessary extra lighting to the subject. I personally always place my subject with their back to the sun. 4️⃣: Use High Speed Sync: Shooting with high speed sync allows you to shoot wide open as well as the fastest shutter speed that your camera allows.
