The pull should mimic the exact set up and bar path of your full clean lift with a violent hip extension pop at the top; Here’s a fun variation of the pull for you today as demo’d by Max Lang. It starts off with 2 pulls paused just below the knee. Make sure your full foot stays grounded, not shifting into your heel. Next you perform another pull pausing just above the knee. The Clean and Press is a great whole-

🏋️ Clean & Press 🏋️ The Clean and Press is a great whole-body movement. The 3 positions are: 1. Bottom 2. Catch 3. Over Head Press 1) The bottom position will be like the ordinary deadlift; the only difference is that we need to have a more upright back position by looking forwards and sitting your hips slightly lower. 2) During the pull, we are performing a jump to get the bar high enough into the Catch Position. In the catch position, you are resting the bar on your upper chest with your elbows pointing straight forwards. 3) To perform the overhead press from the catch, you are going to slightly bend at the knees maintaining tightness in your core. From here you are going to push your feet through the floor while pushing the barbell up with your hands until the bar is right above your head. To pass your head with the barbell, you must tilt your head back and then forwards so the middle of your head is right under the bar. PLEASE NOTE that the clean and press is a complex movement and is quite different to your standard compound lifts.
