Why does 16P mistype so much? I wanted to shed some light into why 16P isn’t MBTI, point out typing resources you can use, and explain where 16P (or other personality frameworks) can be useful. Now you’ll know the next time you see “-A” or “-T” in someone’s bio 😀 #mbti #typology #mistyped #16personalities #cognitivefunctions

✨ learn how to re-wire your brain 🧠 ⤵️ Self-directed neuroplasticity is the process of physically changing our brain structures and functions by intentionally redirecting our focus and what we pay attention to. In this way, it is possible to ‘rewire’ our brains to get unstuck and overcome limiting beliefs, negative thinking patterns, disruptive emotions, and self-sabotaging behaviours. 🧠 To apply self-directed neuroplasticity, a good starting point would be to become very selective in what and who you continuously expose yourself to, what you focus on and what you repeat. To affect lasting change in brain networks and functions, the following techniques and practices can be helpful: 1️⃣ Selective Attention Attention is a limited resource and whatever we hold in attention has the ability to change our brains and our lives, so we have to choose wisely. Selective attention is the ability and skill to focus on a specific stimulus (issue, topic, event) or activity of choice, even in the presence of other distracting stimuli. This comes down to deciding what we will read, listen to, watch, talk about and spend on. Deliberately steering our attention in this way is both a decision to make and a skill to be learned. 2️⃣ Mindfulness Humans spend very little of our ‘thinking time’ on what is happening with us ‘right now’. We spend a lot of time thinking about the past. Mindfulness is the state of being ‘fully present’ in the moment – being aware of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and environment without judgment or interpretation. Being mindful is a skill that can be learned through practice and mindfulness meditation. 3️⃣ Cognitive Reframing Cognitive reframing (aka ‘cognitive restructuring’) is based on the principle that our points-of-view and interpretations of the world largely depends on the ‘frame’ it is viewed in. Changing from a negative frame to a more positive frame about the same situation allows us to recognise other ways of seeing and interpreting, thereby increasing the choices available to us and our adaptability to people, events, and situations. #mindset #psychology #love #quotes #wellness #selflove #selfcare

💬 How many did you get right? Share in the comments 👇 This brain exercise might seem simple, but it’s actually a powerful brain workout. When you try to say the color instead of reading the word, your brain’s attention and self-control systems activate. Your anterior cingulate cortex detects the conflict, and your prefrontal cortex steps in to help you resist the automatic urge to read. The more you practice, the better your brain becomes at managing distractions, switching tasks, and staying focused under pressure. 📌 Save this to test yourself again. 🔁 Share it with someone who loves brain exercises.

Complaining isn’t harmless… neuroscience proves it’s destroying your brain. Here’s how ⬇️ 1. Strengthens the wrong neural pathways. 2. Floods your body with stress hormones. 3. Trains your brain to notice more problems. 4. Shuts down your decision-making center. 5. Shrinks your hippocampus (memory + resilience). 6. Makes your default mode network stuck in suffering. Stop complaining → protect your brain → rewire for growth. Cognitive awareness means realizing how profoundly different another person’s mind can be - how differently they interpret, respond, and understand. Once you truly grasp this, tolerance arrives almost effortlessly. You understand that people are shaped by thoughts that are - often frustratingly - very unlike your own. #cognitivediversity Join my newsletter - link in bio.

Most people think games are just entertainment. But the right games actually train the brain. Research shows strategy and logic games activate the prefrontal cortex, the area responsible for focus, planning, and impulse control — circuits that are often weaker in ADHD. Games like: • Chess • Sudoku • Logic puzzles • Strategy board games can strengthen pattern recognition, working memory, and problem-solving networks. Think of them as mental strength training for executive function. And the best part? Your brain enjoys the challenge — which makes them easier to stick with. 👇 What’s your favorite brain game?
