Finishing my latest project— A simple whole cloth baby quilt. A whole cloth quilt is when you quilt together two solid pieces of fabric. This is in contrast to a pieced together quilt where you take fabric, cut it and then place it back together in a new pattern. It’s so fun to make these because a quilt can come together in much less time but still has some charm that a ‘traditional’ quilt can offer. Of course, don’t look too closely. While most cut fabric in their homes, we have others who are helping to sew up the sample quilts, long-arm quilt, photograph, ship out orders, help with customer service, and so much more. If you’re afraid certain fabrics will bleed, then do a Q-tip check. This has saved me from ruining a lot of old quilts. My mantra: if in doubt, AIR IT OUT. Hang it outside on a sunny breezy day (or two). It may not get rid of stains, but it will loosen dirt and remove odors.
