Mitt allra första lapptäcke är klart!! 🥳💙🥳💙🥳💙 Jag har alltid drömt om att ha ett blått lapptäcke men aldrig hittat något som är sådär som jag tänkt. I april kontaktade jag @mariehellbergh och frågade om hon skulle vilja vara min sy-pt och sen drog vi igång! Mina sykunskaper var från högstadiet så det var en hel del jag fick lära mig. Jag visste inte att man skär tyger så där fick vi börja, och det tog många timmar att skära alla 108 bitar 😅 Sen var det dags att börja sy, pressa, pressa, sy, sprätta när jag gjorde fel och sen fortsätta så tills alla bitar satt ihop 💙 Sen satt vi en bård runt hela. Självaste quiltningen fick jag hjälp med av Marie i henne jättemaskin 😍 Att den lilla vita kanten runtom skulle handsys visste jag inte, men jag har suttit x antal timmar med nål, tråd och min fingerborg och sytt fast den med. Jag är så glad att jag har gjort denna och fått mer förståelse för vilket otroligt hantverk det är 😍 Nu ska jag lära mig sy mer, men kanske lite mindre projekt än en hel filt 😅 Det finns ännu fler bilder på bloggen, länk i profilen som vanligt 💙 #quilt #lapptäcke #sykurs #sofaquilt #sy #blåvitt #lappteknik #handarbete #tyger #hobby

This hurts. As much as I adore admiring this quilt… I still need to sew it together! So it’s time to pick it all up and get to sewing. English paper piecing is not a quick process at all but I love slowing down and hand sewing with such beautiful fabrics. I hear 2026 is the year of the analog hobby and I’m all for it!
