Still can’t believe we have this incredible art museum right here in Bentonville, Arkansas. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is absolutely worth the drive if you live out of town — and if you’re local, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again. My personal hack? If you are bringing young kids, Skip the galleries and head straight to the studio. If my kids are craving a creative activity, this is always our go-to. Then we enjoy the outdoor trails and art. EVERY time we have visitors in town, this is where we bring them. Between the galleries, hands-on art projects, events, and nature walks, there’s truly so much to do. They’re almost finished with the museum addition, and I can’t wait to see what’s next. And somehow… I still haven’t made it to the Frank Lloyd Wright house — officially adding that to my 2026 to-do list. ✨

In December, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art welcomed a very special guest—President Barack Obama. During his visit, President Obama met with more than 450 Arkansas students and teachers and placed the first lace into “We the People (black version)” as the team began reinstalling the work in the galleries. A historic moment for art, education, and community—and one we’re grateful to celebrate this Presidents’ Day.

🎨 How amazing is this place? ⠀ 🖼️ Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is a must-see attraction in Northwest Arkansas. The museum was founded by Alice Walton (daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton) as a way to unite the power of art with the beauty of nature.⠀ 🖼️ The unique museum features glass-enclosed bridges and pavilions over spring fed ponds that house galleries, a gift shop, cafe, library, and more. ⠀ 🎨 The museum features a kids area for all ages to create and play. ⠀ 🌿 Outdoors, visitors can enjoy 5 miles of trails past sculptures and natural features across the 120-acre park. There is also a Frank Lloyd Wright house which was moved to the site and available to tour. ⠀ THINGS TO KNOW⠀ 💲General admission to the permanent collections is always free⠀ 🎟️ Special exhibits may require tickets and have admission fees.⠀ 🕜 Museum hours vary by season. For the summer, the museum is open daily except Tuesdays. ⠀ 🌿 The museum grounds and trails are open daily, sunrise to sunset. ⠀ ⚠️ Severe storms in the area have closed some of the trails due to downed trees and damage.
