Dealing with a tight C-section scar and that stubborn overhang? Here are 3 simple release techniques you can start today: Only start once your scar has fully healed on the outside, around 6/8 weeks post C-Section. If you are unsure please check with your doctor before trying. 1️⃣ Upward drags – Lift the skin and drag upwards to create space and improve circulation. 2️⃣ Side-to-side drags – Break up tight tissue and improve mobility around the scar. 3️⃣ Pinch & roll – Gently grab the skin and roll it between your fingers to release tension and loosen adhesions. Be gentle, listen to your body, and stay consistent. Comment “Overhang” for my Overhang 101 leaflet Guide. This is why⬇️ You're working out, doing "core" exercises, trying to watch what you eat but it hasn't made any difference to your C-section 'overhang'. What if I told you it's not weight gain causing your C-section 'overhang' but scar tissue! When we have a scar our body has laid down scar tissue to close the wound and secure it. This scar tissue is like the body's cement and is hard and inflexible which can cause tightness along your scar = an overhang above your scar. The best thing... You don't have to live with it and there is something you can do. I'm passionate about helping women to feel better about their tummy and scar and have developed my 5 Minute Method to healing your overhang. Scar Massage 💆🏻‍♀️ Cesarean Birth & Tummy Tuck Mamas, this is for you ☺️ Scar massage is helpful to decrease scar tissue build up, help to promote blood flow to the scar, and also helps mobilize the tissue around the scar. It can also help decrease post inflammatory hyperpigmentation of the scar and the tissue around the scar. Applying pressure through massage to the scar can also promote collagen remodeling. You can start as soon as your incision is completely healed, without any scabbing. 🤍

Let me guess…you’ve been told your C-section scar would “just heal with time.” But months—or even years—later, it’s still tight… numb… like it doesn’t belong to your body. The truth? It’s not just cosmetic. That “shelf” you hate is often caused by deep adhesions under the surface—pulling on your skin, limiting your core strength, and messing with your digestion and posture. First visual, line barely moving when pulled because it was held down (by scar tissue). Second, scar moving freely Most OBs don’t mention this: → Scar tissue needs guided mobility to heal properly → Numbness = irritated nerves → A stuck scar doesn’t just affect your belly. it affects your entire core system If you’re newly postpartum, you significantly improve how your scar looks and feels and getting a flatter shelf! The earlier you start with scar massage and scar mobility exercises to help the layers of tissues move freely and not stick together, the better your long-term healing. ✨ That’s why I created The Complete Scar Healing Blueprint—a step-by-step recovery guide to soften, mobilize, and finally feel connected to their body again. 👇 Comment “HEAL” if your scar still feels stuck—or you’re ready to stop guessing and get the link for my Complete Scar Healing Guide #scarhealing #csectionrecovery #postpartumhealing 👉 Medical disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only and not a substitute for medical advice. Nobody really prepared me for how different my body would feel after a c-section 🫣 As soon as I was cleared, I started gently working on scar massages - and it completely changed my recovery. 🤍 These 5 simple moves helped me reconnect with my body, release tightness, and made me feel like I was actively part of my own healing instead of just waiting for time to do the work. Scar massages became more than just a physical routine - it reminded me that recovery is about giving myself patience, love, and care through every stage. ✨ These are the 5 moves I leaned on most, and I hope they can help you too. 🫶🏽 And if you didn’t start right away, that’s okay - healing looks different for everyone, and it’s never too late to begin, mama. - Save this to come back to these moves whenever you need them 🥰 - #csectionrecovery #postpartumhealing #lymphaticmassage #lymphaticdrainage #scarmassage #postpartumtips #diastasisrecti #postpartumjourney

Let’s pretend this a balloon is our torso 🎈 during & after pregnancy 😮 Ever wondered what’s happening on a deeper layer? Hope this helps to clear things up a bit! Check out the reel for more details but a few key points below! 🎈 Our abdominals can be separated into 4 layers, the Rectus Abdominis (6 pack) Muscle, the External and Internal Obliques and the deepest layer, the Transverse Abdominis. 🎈 As pregnancy progresses and the bump grows, the Rectus Abdominis muscle separates out to the side via a fiberous sheath of body tissue called the Lines Alba. 🎈 Our respiratory, directly impacts our core. When we inhale deeply our pelvic floor can release and expand. During birth expansion is necessary to allow baby to descend down the birth canal. 🎈Engaging our pelvic floor on the exhale is important when we emerge our abdominals and deep core. To support and manage in intra-abdominal pressure created as we lift, push or exert force. ☀️ Any more questions just shout! 😃👍🏾 #stronglikemum #postnatalfitness #pregnancyfitness #pelvicfloor #diastasisrectirepair

If there’s one thing I am certain of as I grow up it’s that Time Flies, fast! AND it’s getting faster the older I get. Can anyone else relate to feeling that? If I tell my kids that they have to wait an hour for something… they feel like it’s an eternity. An advert break to them lasts a decade and sometimes, when my energy is low, bed and bath time can seem endless… 😳💯🤦🏽‍♀️ BUT, suddenly, I blinked today and Rio was 8! And from his first steps, suddenly I have 4 children! 🤯 4❗️ I’ve lost count of how many days I’ve spent worrying about whether my babies have napped too long, or if going to the beach in the evening will ruin their routine… but actually… looking back over the last 8 years, I don’t think about the days they didn’t sleep, I remember the amazing adventures we’ve had! Time is flying. Sorry if I’m stating the obvious but just in case anyone needs a reminder. Don’t waste it! 🕥 If there’s something you want to do, do it, say it, go get it! That’s not to say that you’re wasting time if you’re feeling low. Not every minute will feel amazing. Time ebbs and flows and we will all have ups and downs. Certainly don’t waste time feeling guilty for having an off moment. Let’s just appreciate how precious time is. I guess the best we can do is enjoy it as much as we can! 💯☀️

I don’t think I’m think only one out there with this conundrum 🤔 creating engaging content vs useful content❓ It seems like the whole world at the moment is geared around ‘quick fixes’. How can we get faster result, quicker answers and skip a few steps to get to where we want 😵‍💫 but here’s a fact about postnatal fitness and recovery that will never change. It takes time! 💯 If you want your core to sustain you for future life. If you want to be strong and mobile and enjoy being active for years to come, we simply can’t take short cuts. The Postnatal period gives us this rare opportunity to rebuild foundations and connect with our body in a way we never have before. Quick isn’t always best. And slow doesn’t need to be disheartening. If we can change our perspective and not only see exercise as a means to an end, but also something we enjoy, something that feels good, something that supports our body every day. To not only loose weight, or tone up but also to help us complete every day tasks without pain. To have energy and to move with power and confidence. Maybe then, we will see results that last! ❤️ #stronglikemum #postpartumfitness #postnatalbody #postpartum #motherhoodunplugged
