In January 2024, I committed myself to consistent dance training to further aid my development as an artist. Growing up, I’ve always had an interest in dance but my parents couldn’t afford to enroll me in professional training. And so, I did everything in my power to learn on my own (theatre, dance classes at school, extracurriculars, etc.) Now, as an adult, I’m very grateful to be able to receive the (formal) training I never got. I know I still have a long way to go and much to improve but having found a hobby OUTSIDE of making music has been life-changing and so FREEING. Dancing is truly one of the most creative things you can do for your mind, body, and spirit. Side note: labels seemingly dgaf about artist development nowadays. They’ve thrusted that responsibility solely on the artist. So what can we do with the little-to-no support we get from the very system that claims to “believe” in us? Idk. I really don’t. I’m trying to figure it out just like everyone else. But sitting around, waiting for someone to make it happen is not a common theme in any success story. So I’m gonna keep shaking my little butt to greatness 🫶🏼

I started dancing in my 20s with no idea what I was doing and no talent, just some interest in kpop. I failed my first audition and nearly quit right there🥹 Overtime I’ve learned that progress can be small.
