How to perform the FLAT DB PRESS - my personal fave exercise for growing some juicy pecs Stability is crucial - just like a bench press this is a compound exercise meaning you’re going to be recruiting other muscles such as your legs, back and shoulders to perform the movement. Main tips: ✅ To achieve stability focus on engaging your lats and pinning your shoulders back and down into the bench (this should create a slight arch in your lower back). ✅ use leg drive - shuffle your feet back and lock them into position. Squeeze your glutes and think about driving your legs into the ground as you press ✅ press between a 0-45 degree angle, full range of motion, controlling the eccentric ✅ think about bringing your biceps together as you press upwards if you’re struggling to feel it in your chest muscles This exercise sh*ts on a regular barbell bench press and I can attribute a lot of my chest gains to it.
