✨Pioneer Park✨ ☀️SAVE this for your next St George visit or SHARE to friends who are headed that way!!! ☀️One of our FAVORITE stops in all of St George! If you have been to pioneer park, you know why! ☀️Endless climbing and exploring, beautiful red rocks, fun trails, and it's all FREE! ☀️There is plenty of parking all around pioneer park, and restrooms available year round, as well as plenty of picnic tables, so you can pack a picnic and enjoy a day out with family or friends!🙌 Here are our favorite must do things in pioneer park! 🦎Dixie Rock, also called the Sugarloaf. You can climb right up to the top! This is tricky for littles so you will need to help them up! Our older kids(7&9) did this no problem! 🦎The Cavern, this is nearby Dixie rock and a fun large room in the rocks to play in! 🦎 The pioneer arch, a cute fun little arch! This takes some climbing, but nothing too tricky! 🦎St George Narrows,also known as "the crack" can you squeeze through this super skinny slot canyon? 🦎Boy scout cave, this neat pioneer structure is built in between some rocks! I didn’t think there was a such thing as luxury in a desert until we stayed at @settlerspointrvresort ! 📍Settler’s Point RV Resort - beautiful, mostly pull through sites, pool, hot tub, dog park, playground, pickleball, laundry and so many incredible places nearby to explore! 📍Zion National Park - hike The Narrows for sure! The first mile of the trail is paved but then you have to walk in the Virgin River if you want to go further. The water can be super cold depending what time of year you go and I recommend renting a dry suit so you can experience the best part of The Narrows which you have to walk in the water for! 📍Glitter Mountain - a private gypsum mine where you can mine for selenite crystals! Entry is free, you just pay for the crystals you take home at $2/pound. No power tools are allowed so make sure you bring chisels and hammers and be ready to break a sweat! 📍Long Valley Recreation Area - Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land which means free dirt bike trails and camping! There’s no water, electricity or bathrooms so come prepared. 📍Pioneer Park & Dixie Rock - free park with tons of rock climbing! There’s no actual path so explore wherever you like. It’s a short and easy hike up Dixie Rock and though it’s great during the day, the view of the sunset over St. George is my favorite. 📍Thunder Junction All Abilities Park - free park with a huge playground and splash pad which is accessible for children of all abilities! There’s a train available during certain days and times (check the website!) for only $2 per ride!
