Just a few of the many different jump and Plyo variations I like to throw into my programming. Some lean more towards RFD training while others train tendon stiffness and the ability to utilize the SSC more #fitness #workout #health

🏆 Exercise of the day (Day 15-3/6/26) . The drop jump to lateral jump . Excellent frontal plane variation to build elastic qualities & challenger lateral energy transfer . Start small with the drop & increase it the more advanced an athlete is! . . @julianlocasto

Really tho, some friendly comp is great at increasing performance ‼️‼️ Shoutout @cliffro24 for hosting me for a fire workout today 🔥 - - #jump #singleleg #plyometrics #vertical #boxjumps

How to jump 40in If you aren’t a genetic freak Step 1: get your squat to 1.7-2x BW If you are weak as piss you have no chance of generating a lot of force to leave the ground. You need to be stronger than gravity in order to actually “produce” anything Step 2: sprint 2-3x a week If you’re slow you won’t be fast enough to generate a lot of force in order to take off. Sprinting is the key for pretty much all athletic development. It is the best way to improve your CNS and allow it to tap into that strength you built up Step 3: Jump If you want a specific skill, then you need to practice it. Jumping higher requires you to jump in a multitude of ways. Bodyweight, seated, weighted, unweighted, single leg, with bands, etc. Bonus step: test your vert 1-2x per week. What gets tested gets managed. Plus it will drive much higher intent to actually get the most out of your jumps. Doesn’t have to be a lot of reps either. Do those 3 things and it’s pretty simple to see some great vert gains Also save your comments I know it’s a jump mat but if you told me I could ever see 40 on any jump testing I would’ve laughed at you so let me have this Hitman Out🫡

BANDED SPLIT STANCE JUMPS This plyometric exercise combines a lunge position with a jump, making it a great workout for lower-body strength & power. By reducing your effective body weight during the jump, bands allow you to move faster and generate more power. This specific movement trains your nervous system’s ability to recruit muscle fibers quickly, translating to improved athletic performance. Give these a try and let me know what you think! #ezvertjumpprogram #athleticism #workout #power #verticaljump

Broad jumps are one of the best plyometrics there are and can easily be programmed to be progressively overloaded. The following are some I have used for myself and clients on a consistent basis: standard broad jump, single leg broad jump, double broad jump, triple broad jump, and continuous broad jumps for distance. Proven results I have seen following broad jump improvements include: increased club distance, faster 40 yard dash, more hitting power, and stronger lower body lifts. Broad jumps are accessible to anyone and can easily be tracked over a period of time. All you need is something to measure with, and the competitive drive to try and beat previous jumps. This makes them an S tier plyo imo. They are a skill and should be trained like one. Doing so has allowed me to consistently jump over 10 feet with a PR of 10 feet 4.5 inches. This is important for athletes who need to improve their jumps for testing metrics. Cross reference the results with a relevant assessment for your sport or performance goals to validate.

Do this workout about 2x a week combined with a plyo/jump session 1-2x a week. Increase weight weekly by 5-10% do this over the course of 4-6 weeks. Lmk how it goes! If you wanna get coached by me personally to jump higher, comment GETUP!

5 Reasons Athletes Should Be Jumping 💪⚡️ 1️⃣ Explosive Power Turn strength into vertical + horizontal pop for jumps, sprints, and take-offs 🚀 2️⃣ Acceleration & Agility Improve first-step quickness and change of direction ⚡️🏃♂️ 3️⃣ Lower-Body Power Develop force through the hips, quads, and calves — where speed lives 🦵💥 4️⃣ Core & Landing Control Train stiffness, balance, and safe force absorption 🧠✅ 5️⃣ High-ROI Plyometrics Maximum athletic carryover with minimal load 🏆🔥 Program them right → jump higher, move faster, stay explosive. • • • • • • #AthleteTraining #BoxJumps #Plyometrics #ExplosivePower #SpeedTraining JumpTraining SportPerformance StrengthAndConditioning TrainSmart

Jump higher with these exercises👇🏼 •single leg hops (great for building bounce, strength, and stiffness) •weighted hops (Longer ground contacts mean greater force production) •marches (Build ankle stiffness) •single leg squats (Get your strength up for greater capacity to jump high) Need more exercises to help you jump higher, hit that follow button and I’ll be sure to post more🤝🤾🏼

🚨 If you’re a high school, middle school, or college athlete with no vertical jump, start the new year off right with training with plyometrics🚀🚨 #plyometrics #verticaljump #football #basketball #training

Triple jump tip👇🏾 The most important part of the jumps is your approach, next is your position at your jump entry. Negative posture creates slow speeds and a hop that is too high. Run off the board! Comment “jump” for more tips or apply to work with me, link in bio I support athletes and coaches 👀

Extensive and intensive plyometrics are BOTH needed to increase your hop height & sprint ability 🐰🐆 EXTENSIVE PLYOS: 🔅 builds rhythm, coordination, and movement quality 🔅 increases tissue tolerance and endurance capacity 🔅 great for low CNS days, warmup, and prep 🔅 EX: skips, jump rope, hops, low pogos, wicket jumps INTENSIVE PLYOS 🔅builds explosiveness and RFD 🔅 increases power, impulse, and SSC force 🔅 great for high CNS days, PAP supersets, and peaking 🔅 EX: max effort pogos, drop jumps, bounding, and rebounding box jumps Do both and jump high 🧨🚀 #sportsperformance #plyometrics #jumptraining #sprint #fortlauderdale
