You only need to use #fillodough and a few other #ingredients to make a delicious idea, perfect for #dinner or as #appetizer 🙌 It's so #crunchy that everybody will love it 🤤❤ 👉INGREDIENTS 500g fillo dough 3 boiled potatoes 3 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 60g mozzarella cubes 50g chopped salami 125ml (1/2 cup) milk 125ml (1/2 cup) vegetable oil 1 egg 1/2 tsp salt 200ml (4/5 cup) mineral water Olive oil 👉METHOD Lay out the first layer of filo dough, spread with olive oil, top with the next layer and olive oil again, top with the third layer of fillo dough, and spread with the prepared mixture. Fill with potato mixture and wrap it. Transfer to the baking pan all fillo wraps and pour with the prepared mixture. This video highlights just how to make pastry and in my next video I will show you how to make pita. I suggest saving this video for later as you will need it. 😂 Ingredients: 500g flour 1 tsp salt 300 ml warm water Oil Steps: - In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. - Make a well in the centre and add warm water. - Mix well until a dough forms. - Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes until it becomes soft, smooth, and elastic. - Place the dough back into the mixing bowl, cover with a cling wrap and let it rest for minimum 30 min in a warm spot. - After resting, roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface as thin as possible, generously drizzle with oil and let it rest for minimum 10 minutes. - Stretch it with your hands until it covers the whole dining table, or as much as possible. I have been asked so many times how do you make Filo dough? Its a was very easy. If you follow it step-by-step you’ll get it down the first time. Homemade Phyllo or Filo dough recipe 2 cups flour 5-6 tablespoons olive oil 1/2 teaspoons salt 3/4 cup warm water In a bowl at 2 cups of flour, olive oil, salt, and warm water, all together and mix it around until it turns into a flower your surface and work the dough for about 3 to 4 minutes, then cover it up and put it on the side for about an hour to an hour and a half just for the dough relax. When you’re ready to start making the dough balls in a bowl add 1 cup of cornstarch and 1/4 cup of flour mix it all together sprinkle a little bit on your surface and start cutting the dough balls into about 20 to 25 small pieces. I made exactly 20 out of mine and I made them into dough balls. Always spread enough of the flour and cornstarch mixture on top of the surface and on top of the dough start rolling them out until about seven or 8 inch round circle stack about 5 on top of each other with a generous amount of the cornstarch mixture in between. Once you stacked 5 altogether roll them out again until they’re about 15 inches wide circle. The thinner, the better. Separate the dough from each other to make sure they pull apart if they’re not pulling apart you’re not adding enough of the cornstarch mixture. It might get messy, but that’s ok. Once you’re done with rolling them out, make sure you cover the dough with the cloth so they won’t dry out. A trick for folding the dough that creates a particularly impressive pattern 🤍 Recipe post for sharing and saving📌📌📌 Ingredients 300 grams of chilled filo sheets 20 grams of melted butter 3 tablespoons of olive oil Filling 200 grams of good flavored cheese, Canaan or ricotta fresca 125 grams of salty cheese that you like or crumbled feta 3 tablespoons of cream cheese 1 teaspoon sweet paprika 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional) 1 tablespoon cornflour 1 egg 200 grams of fresh spinach that is lightly fried with a teaspoon of olive oil and roughly chopped or frozen, thawed and filtered well (weigh after filtering) The preparation 1. Heat the oven to 375F 2. In a medium bowl, mix all the filling ingredients well. 3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter and olive oil 4. Spread a sheet of phyllo, oil it well and pinch its narrow side into an accordion in the center, leaving about 1 inch on the edges on each side. Place 2 tablespoons of the filling on the center of the accordion and cover the filling with the edges from the edges to the center. Fold the rest of the dough and turn over (watch the video until the end). Brush well and place in a pan. Continue with the rest of the phyllo sheets and place them side by side in the pan. 5. ✨ Znood El Sit ✨ Recipe : 1. Roll out about 8 full sheets of fillo dough, I'm using @antonioufillopastry thin packet. 2. Place Filo horizontally infront of you, use a pizza cutter to slice it into 5 even segments (like video), this will be for the long strip 3. Pull out another 10 sheets and place vertically on chopping board, cut halfway like video, place both ontop of each other then cut 3 vertical segments. This will be for the short side holding the ashta* 4. lay filo into a T shape, 2 layers for the long and 4 for the short. 5. Add a heaped tbsp of fresh ashta (use fresh for most authentic result). Here I'm using @tarekabdelrahimelwazzicreamery 6. fold short sides ontop of ashta to enclose then roll into a cylinder 7. on a medium heat, slowly fry 3 to 4 znood at a time in animal ghee, make sure the ghee covers the znood or make sure to keep flipping. 8. Once golden remove from ghee and place directly into room temp or cold ater (sugar syrup)* 9. submerge for 15 to 30 secs (I do 15 because I dont like it too sweet) remove with a slotted spoon so there is no excess ater 10. after cooled for 10-15mins, plate and garnish with more ashta, pistachio and petals 11. Enjoy *Don't be too worried about sizing, the main thing is the short side holding the ashta has to be 4 layers in order for it not to ooze out. *Ater recipe is the video before this one, best to make it in advance as the sugar syrup should be room temp. * you could also prep and fry in the morning, lasts at room temperature for the day, then place in fridge.
