New Series: Freezer Hacks for Busy Moms ❄️ Freezing foods to: • make meals faster • stretch groceries • reduce food waste Today we froze: green onion and ginger Should I keep this series going?

This looks small, but it makes a huge difference 👇🏼 Before anything goes in my freezer, I squeeze out every bit of air. Less air = less freezer burn = better texture + flavor later. It’s one of those unglamorous steps that: • saves food • saves money • saves future-me from disappointment Freezer prep isn’t about doing more — it’s about doing the right things once so weeknights stay easy. ✨ Save this for your next freezer prep session.

This is hands-down one of the biggest mistakes I see people make when it comes to freezing food: You gotta LET IT COOL!!! 😮💨 Why? When you put something hot into an area that is cold, steam comes off of the hot item and if it is trapped in any sort of container that steam has nowhere to go and therefore forms little water droplets that will then turn into ice crystals on your food 🙅♀️ When you let your food cool before freezing, it does not release that steam when it goes into the freezer, and therefore does not form the ice crystals. Often times if I make something and I want to freeze the leftovers I will put it in my fridge in a glass container overnight to let it cool and then in the morning I will transfer it into whatever container I am using to freeze it. (For the sake of this video I used a ziplock so you could see the difference in the two bags). Does this make sense?! Any questions?? Also, GET EXCITED! We are going to do a series of videos on using a food saver to freeze food. If you’ve got one, been wanting one, have one collecting dust in a back cabinet, or have no idea what the heck of food saver even is, this is for you! First one coming later this week!!!

PSA that frozen vegetables are absolutely fine to feed your family and are full of nutrients!!! ✨

This happens to me WAY too often. So here’s the hack: 🧊Frozen fruits and vegetables are just as nutritious as fresh. They’re picked at peak ripeness and flash frozen. So you get the nutrition and don’t throw away a bag of leafy greens once a week. Bonus? 💸They’re usually cheaper. I like a mix. 1️⃣ Fresh veggies for salads and easy meals. 2️⃣ Freezer stocked for the weeks you’re just getting back from travel, can’t make it to the store, or everything seems to go bad overnight. Simple systems beat perfect intentions every time.

❄️🍱 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗘𝗙’𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝘀 𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽 Meal prep saves time and helps you eat better, but without the right freezing method, meals can lose quality quickly. EF’s Super Freeze Function makes a meaningful difference. 🙌 When hot food goes into a regular freezer, it cools slowly and stays in the temperature danger zone longer, allowing bacteria growth and moisture build-up. Slow freezing forms large ice crystals that damage food structure, causing soggy vegetables, dry meats, and separated sauces when reheated. EF’s Super Freeze rapidly lowers the freezer temperature when new food is added, locking in freshness. Faster freezing forms smaller ice crystals, helping preserve texture, flavour, and nutrients so food reheats more evenly and tastes closer to freshly cooked. 🥗 Why it makes a real difference: ☑️ Rapidly lowers freezer temperature to freeze food faster ☑️ Reduces ice crystal formation to protect texture ☑️ Helps keep meats juicy and vegetables firm after reheating ☑️ Locks in flavour and nutrients at peak freshness ☑️ Prevents temperature fluctuations when adding fresh food ☑️ Ideal for batch cooking, meal prep, and bulk storage Super Freeze is especially helpful for batch cooking, weekly prep, family portions, and high-moisture foods like soups and stews. It also protects food already stored by minimising temperature fluctuations. 🌡️ Beyond Super Freeze, EF freezers offer: 🍚 160L capacity for family meals and batch prep 🙌 Multiple drawers and one glass shelf for organised storage ❄️ Frost-free design with no manual defrosting 🌡️ Adjustable temperature control with 5 levels 💡 Easy clean interior with LED lighting 🔔 Door alarm plus wheels and levelling feet With Super Freeze and thoughtful storage features, meal prep becomes more reliable and less wasteful. Meals stay fresher longer and reheat better. ❄️ https://ef.com.sg/product/upright-freezer-efuf-1601gy-sw/ #MealPrep #SmartFreezing #SuperFreeze #EFHome #FreezerHacks #FoodStorage #MealPrepLife #BatchCooking #HealthyEating #KitchenTips #HomeAppliances #FreshFood #FreezeSmart #LessFoodWaste #EverydayConvenience

This is one of those unsexy steps that makes freezer prep actually work. I don’t want to fight spice lids, wash my hands 12 times, or stop my flow every minute. When everything is ready before I start, prep goes faster — and I’m way more likely to finish. ✨ Save this for your next freezer prep day 💛 Follow for simple systems that make dinner easier

I needed my freezer space back, so guess what I did? 👩🏻🌾✨ I grabbed a few big bags of frozen veggies from Costco and pressure canned them instead of letting them sit in the freezer taking up room. Yes — you can pressure can most frozen vegetables (they’re already blanched!), which makes it such a simple, time-saving pantry win. 🙌🏼 Now they’re shelf-stable, ready for soups, casseroles, and quick skillet meals — and I’ve got breathing room in my freezer again. Homestead tip: Rotate what you have. If the freezer is overflowing, preserve it differently. That’s real-life food security. 💚 Have you ever canned frozen veggies before?
